Blessings, Pastor Francisco Gómez greets you from our church, Jesus King of Kings. Today we continue our teaching series called Called to Be a Disciple. We are on teaching number 9 of this series, and today's title is the commandments the Lord Jesus Christ gave His disciples to bear much fruit — but fruit worthy of repentance, good fruit, fruit worthy of the salvation of the kingdom of heaven.

In this part of the series we are talking about fruit — we are talking about the commandments the Lord gave His disciples in the area of bearing fruit. If we don't bear fruit, if there is no fruit in a person, something is not right, because if we are truly disciples, we must keep the commandments, and the result of being disciples of Jesus Christ, the result of keeping His commandments, is bearing fruit for the kingdom of heaven — not necessarily for the world, but fruit worthy of the kingdom of heaven. Here we are going to look at these words, the commandments. Many people — the current religious system, in apostasy — practically teaches us that to be saved, all we have to do is go to church once or twice a week, give offerings and tithe, and if we do this we are already saved. But in reality, that isn't so. Giving according to the word of God contributes a little, I would say — it's part of the process, but it isn't everything. We have to bear fruit for the kingdom of heaven, and especially those who claim to have a calling, even more so, because to whom much is given, much is required. Those of us who receive more from the Lord, even more is demanded of us — meaning that those of us with a calling have to bear more fruit than those who don't have a calling. There are greater spiritual demands on us, and we will look at the word of God, at what the Lord says about it. We will read various scriptures where the Lord mentions fruit. We have John 15:8: "By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples." In other words, bearing fruit is a confirmation that we are true disciples. In another scripture, Mark 16:17-20 says these signs will follow those who believe — He commands us to make disciples of all nations, and there will be signs following those who believe: they will cast out demons, they will speak in new tongues, if they drink anything deadly it will not hurt them, we will heal the sick. But here it's giving us, in effect, another scripture that says, "by this you will be my disciples," showing that bearing fruit is evidence of who the true disciples are. But — very important — there is good fruit and there is bad fruit. If we bear fruit, but good fruit, then that is evidence, a confirmation that we are disciples. But if we bear no fruit at all and we're stuck, doing nothing, something is wrong, because if we aren't bearing fruit, something is wrong — not bearing fruit is a sign of bondage.

John 15:16: "You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you."

The Lord chose disciples — but chose them for what? To sit around comfortably? No — to go and bear fruit. The Lord wants His disciples to bear fruit. If we are disciples of Jesus Christ, we must bear fruit. But what was the fruit these disciples bore? Look at Peter and the others — they were still working, and when the Lord came walking by on His way to where they worked, they left it to follow the Lord. The fruit the disciples gave through their ministry wasn't necessarily money — it wasn't going out and making a lot of money in the world, no — it was fishers of souls. The fruit the Lord wants from us as His disciples is that we contribute, according to our gifts, our talents, our abilities, our finances, to the advance of the kingdom of heaven, to the saving of souls — but especially those of us who have a calling. The fruit the Lord expects from me, and from those with a calling like mine, is that we serve Him by sharing the word and using the abilities and gifts He gives us — to share the word, to heal the sick, to destroy the works of the devil, to cast out demons, to rescue souls for the kingdom of heaven. That is the fruit. Fruit is not about money — many, many people confuse fruit with money — but the primary fruit the Lord wants, especially from those of us with a calling, is not that we go out like Donald Trump to make a lot of money out there — no, it's that we rescue people. Matthew 12:33: "Make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad, for the tree is known by its fruit." In other words, there is good fruit and there is bad fruit. In the word, we see, for example, the Pharisees, the scribes, the Sadducees — they bore fruit, but was their fruit good? No, it wasn't good fruit. They made people religious, and the Lord called them whitewashed tombs, because on the outside they looked very clean, they looked holy — but they were whitewashed tombs. In other words, very clean on the outside, in long robes, everything looking very religious on the outside, but inside, whitewashed tombs — the Lord says they were full of serpents and every kind of evil on the inside. So there is good fruit and there is bad fruit. That's another place where I know there's a lot of confusion — everyone thinks fruit is simply going out to preach, and that once someone goes out to preach the word, they assume they are already bearing fruit for the kingdom of heaven, and that isn't so. Preaching is certainly part of the process of bearing fruit, but only if we preach the truth — if we first take the log out of our own eye and can truly see, if we receive the true doctrine of the disciples, if we understand the truth, if we truly walk in the truth and obey the truth and share the truth — then we will be bearing good fruit. But if we come from a church in apostasy, or if we ourselves are in apostasy and are like the whitewashed Pharisees on the outside, justifying ourselves, thinking everything is fine because we are deceived, because we cannot see and yet we go out supposedly to preach — if we are deceived, if we haven't yet taken the log out of our own eye, then what disciples are we making, what are we really preaching? We are bearing bad fruit. The truth will set you free. It isn't only about preaching — and that's where I know there's a lot of confusion for many people. Many tell me, "But Pastor, I preach — I go out into the street to preach." And many of them are women, because right now the men are in chains and shackles, sitting in a seat that satan won't let them get up from — most of the ones who supposedly go out to preach are women. But when I look at them, I feel compassion for them, because they want to go out and preach, but when I look closely, they still have chains and shackles on their feet. Now, having chains wouldn't be the problem, because if they could at least see the chains they're wearing, I'd say, okay, at least they're fighting — because if they're in that chain but already know the truth, then they're fighting to be free, and something can be done there. But what troubles me most is that they are completely chained and don't even realize they have these chains. Those chains lead them into deception, because if they don't know they have those chains, it's because they're under deception — and then when someone deceived goes out to preach, supposedly, they end up buying into another word that isn't good, and they go on being deceived and deceiving others. That is not bearing good fruit. I see many sincere women, but they are sincerely deceived, and if they haven't first taken the log out of their own eye, they are bearing fruit, but the fruit is bad. So as long as we haven't cleansed our eyes, as long as we aren't seeking the truth with our whole heart, with a clean heart, if we don't repent and come to the truth, then the word is fulfilled in these people who say, "On that day many will say to me, Lord, Lord, did we not do many mighty works in your name?" And the Lord will say, "Depart from me, I never knew you" — meaning, "It was not I preaching through you; I never received you, you never truly received me; you never loved the truth, you never sought the truth, you were preaching a lie, your fruit will be bad — depart from me." It isn't only about preaching. We must share the truth, but we cannot share what we don't have. First we must make sure that we ourselves are standing firm on the rock — that we've cleansed ourselves, that we've taken the log out of our own eye, that we truly have the conviction in our hearts that we are standing firm in the faith. Then, in step with the word of God, we act according to what He has sent us to do — and then the fruit will be good.

Matthew 13:8: "But other seed fell on good soil and produced grain — some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty." The seed is the word we share. If the soil is good, you bear fruit — if the soil is the person who receives that word, that person is going to bear fruit. But if the soil is bad, it doesn't bear fruit — in one kind of soil, because when persecution comes on account of the word, the person gets intimidated: "No, no, no, Lord, I wanted to serve you, but I didn't know I'd be persecuted for your word" — and they stop bearing fruit. So there is a price to pay. There is good soil and bad soil. The Lord speaks of fruit in many scriptures, and this is the most important thing I believe you should hold onto from this teaching today: that we have to bear fruit, but we have to make sure that fruit is good. Those are the two things I most want you to take from this teaching, to keep in your hearts, and as you keep listening to more teachings, everything will become clearer. It isn't only about bearing fruit, but bearing good fruit. We have to bear fruit, but we have to make sure the fruit is good, because if we just bear fruit without thinking it through, satan takes advantage and we end up bearing bad fruit — if we aren't careful, satan takes advantage of us. Let me tell you a word he uses — many times when I'm ministering, especially rebuking religious demons in people who come from different denominations, sometimes I'm only ministering healing to them, but spirits of religion manifest, and they often say, speaking through that person's mouth — satan says, "Why do you want to take away my — my useless servants?" No — "Why do you want to take away my usable idiots?" That's an ugly phrase, but it's the phrase he uses. He uses it for someone who just goes around preaching without realizing it — and I'm talking about pastors here, not only sheep who supposedly go around preaching, though that happens too, but pastors who go around deceived and preaching. He says, "Why do you want to take away my usable idiots?" He calls them usable idiots — meaning, they're people who want to be serving God, and the devil is using them to serve himself. The devil calls them idiots — he's still mocking them, he basically calls them fools, "what fools, what idiots, they serve me — they think they're serving your god, and they're serving me, and they don't even know it." Even witches, at least, knowingly serve the devil — the devil pays the witches — but the usable idiots, he uses without paying them at all. Romans 16:5: "Greet also the church in their house. Greet my beloved Epaenetus, who is the first convert to Christ in Asia." Here Paul is talking about a fruit he had — what was the fruit? Epaenetus — that is, a person who became a disciple. When I manage to get one of you to believe and turn from your religion to Jesus Christ, to become His disciple, that is a fruit I am bearing — that is bearing fruit for the kingdom of heaven. When a soul repents of sin, there is a celebration in heaven — that is the fruit the Lord primarily wants from us. Blessed, blessed are those who truly save souls for the kingdom of heaven — not for religions, not people who take someone supposedly out of the world only to trap them in a religious deception, in some religious sect where they are not true disciples of the Lord. Blessed are those who save souls for the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who are part of the process of making more disciples in all the nations, because the Lord commanded us to make disciples for Him — disciples who do the same work He did, the same work, in obedience, in holiness. Blessed are those who take part in that process of making more disciples, because that is what we are called to. Those of us who make disciples in all the nations are carrying out the great commission the Lord gave His disciples — to make more disciples in all the nations, teaching them everything He taught, teaching them to keep, to observe everything He taught. That's why we are giving this teaching series, Called to Be a Disciple, and here in this part we are talking about the commandments the Lord gave His disciples, because the Lord came to make disciples, and the Lord commanded His disciples to teach, to make more disciples, and to teach them to keep everything you have learned — that's what this is about. Matthew 7:15: "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will recognize them by their fruits."

This is an important verse — I want you to meditate on it, open your heart, make your heart sensitive, because this is important to understand. It grieves my heart to see how everyone is almost like zombies, listening to just anyone because they speak nicely, because they have a microphone in hand — people hear that and assume that because someone holds a Bible and uses a microphone, that person must be of God, and that isn't the reality. We have to take these warnings seriously. If everyone meditated on and took seriously these warnings the Lord gives, the devil wouldn't be mocking so many people out there. Look — the word doesn't just say, "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves," as if merely warning us that false prophets exist so we should be a little careful. It doesn't say, "Listen to them and open your heart so they can devour you" — because they are ravenous wolves. What is a wolf? A wolf is someone who devours the sheep. When you listen to false prophets, in the spirit there are demons devouring your soul, doing you harm. Be careful, says the Lord — be careful of false prophets. You are sheep, but beware of the ravenous wolves. Does anyone understand that a wolf is someone who harms the sheep, who eats the sheep? When you listen to false prophets, in the spirit there are demons working through those people, harming you in the spirit — that's why so many are sick and have all kinds of problems. Just this morning I was hearing about demons that, through the church, affect people's finances, cause problems in their finances, problems in their marriage, problems of every kind, in their health — those wolves come to devour your soul. But it continues: "By their fruits you will know them. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? So every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit." They bear fruit, but the fruit is bad — the good tree bears good fruit. Every tree is known by its fruit. I would say this is a very important part — being able to discern which fruits are good and which fruits are bad. If you listen to the teachings we have in this church and look at what is done in this church, you will then be able to compare the fruits of a place like this one with the fruits of the traditional church, the fruits of true disciples and the fruits of false disciples — and you will see the difference. If you listen to the teachings on our channel for even one or two months, along with the prayers, you will be able to compare yourselves — the fruit in you now compared to the fruit before you started listening to the deliverance sessions and the teachings — and you will see whether you are the same person. Two months — I invite you — listen to us for two months and let's see; judge for yourselves, you will be witnesses whether the fruit in your own life is the same as before. By their fruits you will know them; the truth will set you free. Being saved isn't about going to one of the religious masses and supposedly attending church once a week — that is not salvation, that is not the true way. We have to bear fruit. Luke 13:6-9: "He told this parable: A man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none. And he said to the vinedresser, Look, for three years now I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and I find none. Cut it down. Why should it use up the ground? And he answered him, Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and put on manure. Then if it should bear fruit next year, well and good; but if not, you can cut it down."

I want you to look here — in the previous verse, the Lord speaks of cutting down bad fruit. The tree that bears no fruit will be cut down; being cut down means being judged, and being judged means going to the lake of fire. The previous verse speaks of cutting it down, and here too the Lord tells his vinedresser that the trees that bear no fruit — meaning the people who are not bearing fruit — are to be cut down, because they are wasting the ground. In other words, these are people sitting in church doing nothing, not supporting the church in any way, not contributing in any way to the advance of the kingdom of heaven — all they are doing is taking up a seat, taking up time. And the Lord says that after a while, those who are just taking up time, wasting a seat, not doing anything for the kingdom of heaven, simply taking up time — cut them down. That's what the Lord says. The vinedresser here represents those of us who serve God; that fig tree represents those of you sitting in church who are receiving and receiving — receiving the pastors' time, receiving the teachings — but nothing happens, they do nothing, it's only receive, receive, receive, taking up time but doing nothing, not trying to do anything to contribute, to bear fruit. The Lord says of those who are only taking, only occupying a space but bearing no fruit at all — the Lord says cut it down. That is the word of God: every tree that doesn't bear fruit will be cut down. And where will it be thrown? Will it be crowned king and queen? No — it will be thrown into the fire, and that fire is the lake of fire. Every tree that doesn't bear fruit will be cut down. Bearing fruit for the kingdom of heaven is important. I understand someone might say, "Pastor, I want to do something, but I don't know what to do, Pastor — I try, but I can't." Exactly — you can't, because there is bondage there, and that itself is a sign that something is wrong and needs to be dealt with now. That's where the importance comes in of being part of a church of true disciples of Jesus Christ, because if they aren't disciples, they won't be able to help you become free, and therefore you won't be able to bear fruit. But if you do your part and find a church of true disciples of Jesus Christ — you will know them by their fruits — if they are disciples they will walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, they will have power and authority to destroy the works of the devil, to cast out demons, to heal. If you're in a church like that, where there is truly an anointing of God, that chain breaks — well, assuming you also do your part, because we also have an adversary, the devil, and here's the thing: even if someone wants to help you, even someone anointed like me, even if we want to help you, if you don't do your part, we can't help you. We pastors have a part to do, but you, as the sheep, have a part to do too, and we can't do your part for you. If you renounce the world, if you shut off the world's distractions and seek the Lord with your whole heart, in faith, in perseverance — the chain breaks for some of you within days; sometimes even the first day, for some; a week, two weeks; others take a month, or two, or three, or four; some take a year for the chain to break, some even two years — but it doesn't matter, because it's better to seek God with perseverance and have the chain break in a month, or a year, or two, than to stay bound forever and end up in the lake of fire because you didn't seek God and didn't persevere. So every case is different, but in the end, everyone who seeks the Lord with their whole heart, everyone who keeps persevering, listening to the prayers of people who carry a true anointing from God and are bearing good fruit — and be careful, because there are many false prophets who will perform signs and wonders and deceive many — but for people who are truly being used by God, if they persevere, that chain will break, and when those chains break, they will bear fruit. Matthew 21:42-43: Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the Scriptures: The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes? Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruits." This is a powerful word. The kingdom of heaven had been given to the Pharisees, the scribes, the Sadducees, the people of Israel, for many years, from the beginning up to that time — God's chosen people of Israel were the ones given the priesthood, to the tribe of Levi; they were the ones with the authority to share the word of the kingdom, the ones receiving revelation and wisdom to do the work of God. But it turned out they hardened their hearts, and the devil deceived them, and the fruit they were supposed to bear became contaminated — it turned out they were no longer bearing the fruits of the kingdom of heaven. So the Lord says to his chosen people, "Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruits." The Lord shows no partiality between men and women — to His chosen people of Israel, because their fruit became contaminated and unacceptable before a holy God, He took away the kingdom of heaven and gave it now to the Gentiles, some of us, to preach the word — to the point that, to this day, they are still under deception. The chosen people of Israel are under deception, and now we Gentiles even have to go preach to them so that they will repent — and that's a whole other topic; many pastors even wave the flag of Israel and go on and on about Israel and seek oil from Israel — Israel right now is under deception. Yes, they are God's chosen people, but right now they are under bondage, and so what comes from them right now is not good, because they do not know the true God at this moment — they are blinded. Because we have power and authority, we have to preach to them, break the chain, bring them out of bondage, because the people of Israel are in bondage right now and do not know the true God — at this moment they do not believe Jesus Christ is who He is, they do not believe the Almighty has already come, they are deceived. From that moment the kingdom was taken from them. So for this teaching, the important point is that even God's chosen people, for bearing bad fruit, had the kingdom taken out of their hands and given to whoever would bear the fruit, because the Lord wants our fruit. Many fall into the same deception as the Pharisees, or the people of Israel here, thinking, "They were bearing fruit — we are bearing fruit like the Pharisees," when the Lord says the kingdom will be taken away and given to a nation, to other people who will bear the fruits. In other words, they were bearing fruit, but the fruit wasn't worthy of the kingdom of heaven, because the Lord doesn't only want people preaching — if it were only about preaching, He would not have taken the kingdom of heaven away from His chosen people, because they were preaching — but it turned out the word they preached wasn't in line with the truth, the work they were doing wasn't in line with what the Lord asked of them, and so the kingdom was taken from them. So it's important that we take to heart that we have to bear fruit, but it's important that we make sure, once again, that this fruit is worthy of the kingdom of heaven. We have to take the log out of our own eye, we have to seek to be free, we have to seek the Lord for understanding, for revelation, humbling and searching our hearts before Him, so that if there is anything in us that doesn't please Him, He would show it to us now, so we can repent: "Lord, forgive me if this isn't from you — I don't want it, I won't do it — but Lord, give me more wisdom," because we have to work for God, we have to be useful for the advance of the kingdom of heaven here on earth, we have to be useful so that, according to our abilities, talents, gifts, and finances, we can contribute to the advance of the kingdom of God — but we have to do all of this in holiness. We have to make sure that what we do, we do for the true God, because if we do it in false churches — there are many who give offerings in false churches, and satan mocks them — this very day the mockery has shown itself several times — because when people give in false churches, what they receive is a curse. If they're in apostasy and the work they do is for the devil, then what they give to false churches — who is it really for? For the devil. That is not a blessing. If someone serves in a false church, supposedly seeking souls, but only to hand them over to the Pharisees, then they are serving the devil in the harvesting of souls. So we have to make sure — these things we must do, but for a church of true disciples of Jesus Christ, a church that is training people, men and women, to do the work that Christ did. If we do these things, if we contribute to bringing people to a place where they are formed as true disciples, if with our finances we support true disciples of Jesus Christ who are making more disciples, teaching them to do the work Christ did, to be filled with the presence of God and with power to be true witnesses of God — not with empty words, but with the power of the Holy Spirit, breaking chains and healing people — if we support a church like that, then we are truly supporting the kingdom of God. Some people think it's the same either way, that it's only about preaching, or only about giving — no. Yes, we must give, and yes, we must preach, we must share — but for the place where God is truly at work. If we do it for churches in apostasy, we are feeding the devil; if we do it for the true church of Christ, we are doing it for God. That's an important part. John 15:1-6: "I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned."

That's what the Lord is saying here — even those who might be bearing fruit today, if they turn away, if they disconnect from the Lord, the word says what happens to them: they are thrown into the fire and burned. But what does the Lord say once again? That He is the true vine and His Father is the vinedresser, and every branch that bears no fruit He will take away, and every branch that bears fruit He will prune — to the one who has more, more will be given; if we are bearing fruit, the Lord gives us more. Some people want to serve Christ, but it's, "Pastor, I want to serve, but I want to be an apostle" — practically every woman wants to be an apostle, wants to be a Deborah; everyone wants to serve, but wants to be a prophet. They want to supposedly start serving God and have the Lord hand them a private plane, a house, a church, and a lot of people, as if everything should just be placed in their hand — and they don't want to go through a process, they don't want to clean the chairs at church, they don't want to go out and hand out flyers, they don't want to do any little thing for the work of God, because what they want is to serve God, but how, like with fame or something? No — to truly serve God, well, He gives to each person according to His will, but whether it's the one who cleans the chairs in a true church, or the one who arranges them, or the one who goes out to help with evangelism, whoever does anything, as long as it's for the true church, in love, in obedience, is serving God — is bearing fruit. In a body there are many parts; not all the parts have the same function, but if each of us works in harmony, and each one according to what the Lord has given — whether spiritual gifts, physical abilities, or finances — if each of us contributes with love, with our heart, what the Lord has given us, then we are all built up; then, united because we are one body, we reach and accomplish the great commission. But it's important to bear fruit — every tree that doesn't bear fruit will be cut down. That is, the Lord, speaking here in scripture after scripture, clearly says that everything that does nothing will be removed — will be removed. I think you should meditate on that; it's important. In the church, it isn't only about coming and saying, "Pastor, give me this, Pastor, I want this, Pastor, give me, Pastor, I need this, Pastor, do this for me, Pastor, do this for my uncle, Pastor, do this for my cousin, Pastor give me, Pastor give me, Pastor give me" — that doesn't bear fruit, that's almost stealing fruit, because it's nothing but asking. We sincerely have to seek to contribute to the church too, we have to seek to help with whatever needs to be done so that together we reach more souls, we have to keep what we learn and apply it in our lives — that's the way the Lord commands it. Really, if you think about it, what is the kingdom of heaven about — is it about just me, my family, or is it about the eight billion people out there? Eight billion. So, as a church, when the Lord commands us to bear fruit, what He's practically commanding us is that, together, each one of us — if I'm making disciples, male and female — the purpose is that we multiply, so that, again, according to our talents, our gifts, our abilities, our finances, together we keep on making more disciples, male and female. But if everyone comes and receives, and nobody contributes anything back, then how are we going to be a kingdom of heaven? So the result of bearing fruit is advancing heaven's return here on earth — in the end, that's what bearing fruit is about, that's what making true disciples, male and female, is about, because if we are true disciples, male and female, we must bear fruit, because disciples fear God and keep His word, and if we keep the word of God, it's like adding two plus two — two plus two is four; adding up the commandments the Lord gives, which we are sharing with you right now — if we keep them, the result is reaching souls, bearing fruit. Therefore, whoever bears no fruit judges themselves as not being a disciple, because they don't know the commandments, and therefore they don't keep the commandments, and therefore they bore no fruit.

Luke 12:35-37: "Stay dressed for action and keep your lamps burning, and be like men who are waiting for their master to come home from the wedding feast, so that they may open the door to him at once when he comes and knocks. Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes. Truly, I say to you, he will dress himself for service and have them recline at table, and he will come and serve them." Blessed, says the Lord — here is a parable. Blessed are those servants whom the Lord, when He comes — and His coming is very near — finds serving Him, because if we are disciples, we are called to serve, not to be served; we are called to serve. And blessed, He says, are those whom He finds serving Him when He comes, because He will tell them, He will seat them at the table with Him. Luke 19:13: "Calling ten of his servants, he gave them ten minas, and said to them, Engage in business until I come." Here, some of the servants were given something and just held onto it — they didn't multiply it. These are the ones who receive the teachings, the ones who come to church — "Pastor, pray for me" — and they get healed; these are the ones who receive and receive from the Lord in many ways, but never do anything to multiply what they received, never do anything to make the kingdom of God advance, never do anything to even share the testimony of what the Lord did for them, never do anything to support those churches so that the kingdom of God keeps advancing. They received, but they didn't multiply what they received — the Lord compares these to the unfaithful servant. Why? Because they received but did nothing in return. What did they do? "Okay, Pastor, pray for me, I got healed," or "Pastor, I want to be part of your church," or "Pastor, I've followed you for three years" — and in those three years they've never once invited a single person to church, in those three years they've never given an offering even once, in those three years all they've done is receive, receive, receive, and send messages and ask questions — basically receive, receive, receive and produce nothing. Well, these are unprofitable servants, because what are they really doing? Receiving for themselves — that's selfishness. If I receive for myself and do nothing for others, I'm being selfish, I'm not producing. But the servants who do multiply what's theirs — they receive, say, a miracle, but because they love God and love souls, they go and tell fifty people about it. They aren't holding on to what they received for themselves, because sharing what they received comes out of them almost without thinking, since it comes from a good heart — they do it with love. By sharing what God did in their life, without even meaning to, they cause others to believe, they draw other hearts closer to God — that's them multiplying it, because what they received, they're not keeping just for themselves; that seed, what they received, they're now sharing it. And many of them, out of gratitude and love for God, think, "Wow, God overflowed in me, in that church," and then they go support that church. And so, when they also support it with their finances, what happens? The church has more resources to continue doing the work the Lord commands us to do. And so, also because they have love in their hearts, they're also helping it multiply, so that church can reach other people and have the time to serve others the way they were served. And many of them, according to God's purpose for their lives, their gifts, their talents, and what the Lord has given them, say, "Pastor, I want to be part of that church, I want to serve too," and according to their gifts, talents, and abilities, they also serve God — and they get shaped, prepared, because there is love for God in their heart: "I loved what I received, I want to help — if the Lord wants to use me too, to manage that, or to use me in one way or another, according to His will, to be part of that process one way or another, so that more people can receive like I did and serve." They have love to share, love to give, love to serve — this represents the profitable servants. These are the ones who receive, but multiply it. See, because they received, but didn't just keep it to themselves — "well, I received, I'm out, bye Pastor, you won't see me again" — those are the unprofitable servants; that's selfishness, lovers of themselves. They receive and don't come back, they receive and don't share, they receive and don't want to serve, because they love themselves, they love the world — how are they going to serve God? To serve God we have to separate ourselves from the world, and we cannot serve two masters — so they can't give to the Lord, it's all about receiving and never giving. Faithful servants bear fruit, because what they receive, they multiply. When a profitable servant, a faithful servant, receives a blessing that they know for certain came from God, it multiplies, because there is love for God and they share it, they talk about it, they support it, they want to serve. Philippians 4:15-17: "And you Philippians yourselves know that in the beginning of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church entered into partnership with me in giving and receiving, except you only. Even in Thessalonica you sent me help for my needs once and again. Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that increases to your credit." Here, that itself is a fruit — giving to the church in love and obedience is a fruit. Look here, the apostle Paul is speaking — he's talking about the church in Thessalonica, or rather, the church in Philippi, because even when he was in Thessalonica, even though he was already somewhere else, the church still kept sending him offerings, sending them so he could cover his expenses as he kept carrying the word to other places. But what does Paul say here — and it isn't really Paul, it's God — he says, "It's not that I seek the gifts, but I seek the fruit that increases to your account." In other words, when you give to the true church, when you give to an apostle of Jesus Christ, as Paul was, when you give to a person who is truly carrying the true word of life to the world, you are bearing fruit for the kingdom of heaven. But if you give to a false apostle, a false prophet, a false evangelist, a false pastor, you are bearing fruit for the kingdom of darkness. Does anyone understand that there are two fruits — there is fruit for the kingdom of heaven, and there is fruit for darkness? If we give to the true church, we give to God; if we give to the false church, we are giving to darkness. Giving freely to the church in faith, in obedience, in love, to the true church, is a fruit that counts in your favor — it's a fruit that counts, because it counts. Think, for example, about hospitals — if everyone who went to the hospital didn't pay, could they have million-dollar equipment and everything they supposedly have to help people, could they pay the doctors, the nurses, the electricity, the water, all the resources that hospital has? Well, the Lord sends us, the disciples of Jesus Christ, to do many different kinds of work — not only the work of doctors, because that's one way we heal; it's not wrong for us to be psychologists, because that's another way we heal the mind, the emotions, the trauma; it's not wrong for us to be teachers, because that's another way we preach — He sends us to do many different works, to save souls. He sends pastors with the purpose of serving Him, just as He sent His disciples — but those who are served are commanded that just as they received freely, they should also support freely; we give freely and we bless you, and you have to give freely and support the church. But when you do that, you are supporting the kingdom of heaven, because that's how disciples operate — just as the Lord went about with a small money bag, and the disciples were supported by those they served, so they could keep doing the work without having to go work ten or twelve hours to pay the bills, because they were already provided for — anything else would be like muzzling the ox while it treads the grain. When those who are served support the church, they are bearing fruit and supporting the advance of the kingdom of God, because then those anointed by God to preach, to heal, to deliver, have the freedom to do so, because those who are served are worthy and support the work, and so those who are serving have the freedom to keep serving. So this is one way you, as sheep, bear fruit — it's one way you're also contributing to the advance of the kingdom of heaven. That's why, when Paul says, "I seek the fruit that increases to your account," they were bearing fruit because Paul was bearing fruit — they were supporting the one who bears fruit, and so they were bearing fruit together with Paul. Another word says, "Whoever gives even a cup of water to one of these little ones, because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward" — because disciples, if we are true disciples like Paul, went about bearing fruit. Paul didn't live for the world, Paul wasn't distracted by the things of the world — how many parties and celebrations do you see Paul attending in the Bible? None — he endured much in the flesh, he traveled everywhere, but he went about doing the work of God; his focus was on the kingdom of heaven. Because if we are true disciples with a ministry like Paul's, our heart is in heaven — the distractions of the world don't matter to us, they don't interest us; no, that isn't for us, because we have already died to the world. Therefore, those who support people like Paul are supporting the kingdom of heaven — they are bearing fruit.

Being sanctified is a fruit — being in that process of sanctification is a fruit, which gives us the most wonderful gift, which is a life in abundance, eternal life. Thank you for listening. Commandments of Jesus Christ to Bear Fruit Worthy of Repentance, Good Fruit #9

Commandments of Jesus Christ to Bear Fruit Worthy of Repentance, Good Fruit #9 | Jesus King of Kings
