FALSE BAPTISMS IN THE CHURCHES #7

Blessings, Pastor Francisco Gómez of the Church Jesus King of Kings greets you. Welcome, all of you, to our church.

We continue our series of teachings, exposing the final-time apostasy.

We will begin by praying to the Lord, so that He would be the one giving all of us wisdom, discernment, and understanding, so that this word we receive today would not be stolen by the unclean birds that come to steal the word, so that the word we receive would grow and bear fruit in the heart of each one of us.

PRAYER #1:

Heavenly Father, we come before Your presence, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We thank You for this opportunity You give us to share Your word, for this opportunity You give us to be gathered together in Your name, seeking Your presence.

Your word says that where two or three are gathered in Your name, there You are — so, Lord, we thank You for being in our midst. May it be You, Lord, giving us understanding, discernment, also putting the word in my mouth according to Your will, and may it be You, Lord, causing those who read it, and to whomever it is shared by any means, that this word I share today, You would make it grow, flourish, take root firmly in their hearts — that Your name would be exalted, Lord, and glorified in our lives.

We know, Lord, that by carnal intelligence we cannot truly understand spiritual things, so we come to You, Lord, in humility, asking You to give us wisdom, to give us understanding, to reveal Your word to us — because we desire to know You, because we desire to know, to understand, to know Your perfect will in order to do Your will. May Your kingdom come into the life of each one of us, and may Your will be done here on earth, as it is in heaven.

Also, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we bind every power of darkness that hinders, that blocks, that tries to complicate even the systems, that tries to make it difficult for people to access the teachings online, or to come in person; or that if they hear it, they cannot understand it. Every demon that steals understanding and revelation, we bind it in the name of Jesus. May fire come down upon every person this teaching is reaching, and even upon the devices, and every power of darkness that seeks to disrupt the devices, to put up opposition and obstacles so that they cannot receive it — may they all catch fire and burn, in the name of Jesus.

I cover the mind, the conscience, the heart, the understanding of every person who accesses this teaching, with the blood of Jesus Christ. May there be fire and light in each one of you, in the name of Jesus.

Every spiritual device that is used to cause interference — may it catch fire and explode, in the name of Jesus. May every power of darkness sent to hinder, to obstruct those who are about to receive this teaching — may the heart and head of those powers of darkness explode, in the name of Jesus Christ.

There is power in the name of Jesus. The gates of Hades will not prevail against the church of God; He who is with us is stronger than he who is in the world.

TEACHING:

Today's topic is exposing the apostasy. False baptisms in the church, #7.

This is a very important topic, because we are in the great apostasy, and in this time there are many false doctrines. It is no secret to any of us that our adversary the devil goes about like a roaring lion, and he disguises himself as an angel of light — that is, he has a counterfeit for everything that is true.

It is important to be baptized according to the command the Lord gave His disciples, but the devil creates a counterfeit, even creating a false baptism. He does this to deceive, because if someone is baptized falsely, since it is not real, there is no salvation.

Some of the points we will be highlighting today, which I want you to pay attention to so you keep them in your hearts, are the following:

  • It is important to be baptized — it is a commandment of God.
  • It is possible to be baptized and not be filled with the Holy Spirit.
  • It is possible to be filled with the Holy Spirit without having been baptized in water.
  • I will also mention various types of false baptisms, since there are various false baptisms that occur today.
  • We will also highlight in what name everyone who was baptized in the Bible was baptized.
  • And finally, it is important to be baptized again if you were baptized falsely — if you received a false baptism, it is not only necessary to be rebaptized, it is also necessary to repent, because a false baptism is a baptism in darkness.

Even on point number one, regarding why we are baptized, it is good to understand it and be careful with what we hear. The truth is that the word of God is being fulfilled, or has already been fulfilled, even in this area — the word says that in this time of apostasy there would be men who would even deny the Lord Jesus Christ, and if you have the chance to truly talk with people out there, you will realize that the devil truly has souls tightly bound, and that we are indeed in the final time — they even deny the Lord.

This week I spoke with a young woman who says, "supposedly," that she believes she is saved, but she said that kundalini and Jesus Christ are the same person, that she doesn't have to read the Bible to find God, because she can find God in the forest… (She is a person who believes herself to be a Christian, but the devil has now gotten into the church with mixed teachings of occultism, supposedly combined with Christianity — it is a kind of New Age.)

She also said, "I can find God even in the forest. If I don't have a Bible, do you think I won't be saved for not having a Bible? I don't read the Bible, but I know God and I am a daughter of God." In a few words: "I don't know Jesus Christ, and to be saved I don't need Jesus Christ."

The word has been fulfilled — it says that in this time there would be those who would even deny the Lord who saved us, and obviously, if they even deny Jesus Christ and say the Lord is not necessary, how much more will they say about being baptized — as in, "It's not necessary to be baptized. To enter the kingdom of God, I don't have to be baptized." But that is a lie — let's look at what the word of God says.

The word tells us in Luke 3:16-17, "I baptize you with water," John answered them all, "but one more powerful than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire."

But then the word says in John 3:5, "I assure you, whoever is not born of water and the Spirit cannot enter the kingdom of God," Jesus answered.

Here the Lord is telling this to a person who was a teacher in the synagogue, a leader — but he was not a disciple, he was one of the Pharisees — and the Lord told him that whoever is not baptized in water, whoever is not born of water and the Spirit, cannot enter the kingdom of heaven.

There are two important things we have to do in order to be saved — we have to be baptized, and we also have to receive the Holy Spirit. But the word says here, in 1 Peter 3:21, "which now symbolizes the baptism that also saves you — not the removal of dirt from the body, but the pledge of a good conscience toward God — this salvation is possible through the resurrection of Jesus Christ."

Here the word tells us more clearly why we are baptized — we are baptized not to wash the body, but for the cleansing of the soul; through baptism the Lord cleanses our conscience.

If the Lord cleanses us through baptism, we are already clean — our sins are washed away, we are spiritually cleansed, when we are baptized in faith, according to the commandment of the Lord Jesus Christ, according to His word.

Mark also tells us very clearly, Mark 16:16, "Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."

Because we have to believe. After someone believes, they are baptized. When someone believes and is baptized, then salvation comes — that's where salvation is received.

So, regarding baptism — why are we baptized? Out of obedience, because it is a command of the Lord, and through obedience in faith we are saved.

Baptism is necessary if we want to be saved. In this time we are living in very ugly times — there are people who worship themselves, who believe they are gods, and it's not just one or two; truly, it's like this in many areas, from baptism, to doctrines, all the way through every area.

The more you become established in the faith and become disciples, when you talk to people out there, you are going to find all kinds of people. Some of them will be your own family, who will argue with you and judge you, or call you crazy, if you mention what the word of God says — because the devil has now made people create a god according to their own lusts and flaws, according to their own desires — that is, the devil now makes people create for themselves a god who justifies the sin they are living in.

If they are fornicators, if they are drunkards, if they are homosexuals, if they are liars, if they bear no fruit, if they live a life of rebellion against the word of God — even if they don't know the word of God — they still say things like, "Oh no, because I am saved." Because they even invent an excuse to justify that they are saved — but it is the devil who puts those excuses in their hearts, so that they have no fear of God, so that they don't repent, so that they don't understand that the road that leads to salvation is narrow, and that if they don't turn away from evil, they will be lost — so the devil gives them a false confidence of salvation.

Point number 2 has to do with the fact that it is possible to be baptized and not be filled with the Holy Spirit.

In reality, the fullness of the Holy Spirit and baptism are like two different events. It is possible to be baptized without being filled with the Holy Spirit.

Point number 3: it is possible to be filled with the Holy Spirit, or to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit, without being baptized in water. For example, if we look at Acts 8:16, the word says, "For He had not yet fallen upon any of them; they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus."

Here Philip preaches in Samaria, and a great many believed — women and men believed and were baptized by Philip, and Philip was filled with the Holy Spirit and power. He was an evangelist, to such a degree that with just his preaching, the word says, demons would come out shrieking from many people — and even a sorcerer, upon seeing the spiritual authority with which Philip preached and how the demons came out, even that sorcerer believed — Simon the magician.

But then the word says that when the apostles heard that Samaria had received the Lord Jesus, several of the apostles went so that they might receive the Holy Spirit — even though Philip, an evangelist filled with the Holy Spirit, was praying and preaching, and a great many repented and had already been baptized, they had not received the Holy Spirit, and that is why the word says in Acts 8:16, "For He had not yet fallen upon any of them; they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus."

Understand this — they had been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus, but they had not received the Holy Spirit. So what happened? How did those who had been baptized by the evangelist Philip receive the Holy Spirit?

The word says that when the apostles came, they laid hands on the people of Samaria, and at the laying on of the apostles' hands, they received the Holy Spirit — to the point that Simon offered the apostles money so that they would give him that power, because he had seen Philip, he had believed when he saw Philip, because Philip walked in power, he healed, he set people free, and demons shrieked. But he saw that Philip did not have that power for people to receive the Holy Spirit — that came when the apostles arrived and laid their hands on the people; that was when they received the Holy Spirit, and Philip wanted to offer them money too, to have that power. This shows that it is possible to be baptized and not be filled with the Holy Spirit, and it is possible, without being baptized, to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Now let's look at another scripture in Acts 10:47 — here the word says, "Can anyone withhold the water for these to be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?"

This is when the Lord sends Peter, and Peter preaches, and while Peter was preaching, the Holy Spirit came, and all who were listening were filled with the Holy Spirit. Here we see that with just one of the apostles preaching, those who listened attentively and believed in their hearts, simply by him speaking — while the apostle was speaking, they were filled with the Holy Spirit. Then Peter says, "Can anyone withhold the water, for those who have already been filled with the Holy Spirit?" In a few words, Peter was only preaching to them, but while he preached, they were already filled with the Holy Spirit — and then, after they were filled with the Holy Spirit, they were baptized.

Look at the contrast here — some who had been baptized in water had already been filled with the Holy Spirit, but with Philip that did not happen — Philip had already preached to them, they had been baptized, and they had not received the Holy Spirit.

Here we notice something — it's a little outside this topic, but at the same time it is related to it, because it is part of the apostasy — that's why apostles are rejected by people today; apostles supposedly don't exist. Here we see two scriptures where clearly, even when hands were laid, the apostles received the Holy Spirit.

In those on whom hands had not been laid, even though they had received miracles and wonders through Philip, they had not received the Holy Spirit, and they had already been baptized. So, with the laying on of the apostles' hands, the Holy Spirit is given — but here we also see that even through the apostles' preaching, people can be filled with the Holy Spirit.

This is one reason most churches in apostasy, or their leaders, do not receive us as apostles. For them, apostles don't exist — but it is the devil speaking through them, because if they reject us, they are rejecting the Holy Spirit.

There is another word that says whoever rejects you, rejects Me. The Lord says whoever rejects you — that is, His disciples, His apostles — rejects Him, and whoever rejects Him rejects the One who sent Him. So, in a few words, the devil today causes many churches, which are part of the apostasy — there are thousands of denominations — to reject us as apostles. For them, apostles don't exist — but it is Satan who has apostatized.

It is a doctrine of demons; it is a way of being antichrist; it is a way of rejecting the opportunity to be truly saved, to be free, and more importantly, to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

We also see in Acts 2:1-4 — the word says, "When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in the same place. Suddenly a sound came from heaven like a rushing violent wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then tongues like fire appeared, distributing themselves, and one rested on each one of them. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit gave them ability to express themselves."

Here at Pentecost, perhaps all of them had already been baptized — but the point is, whether they had been baptized or not, they still had not received the Holy Spirit; this event was already a different event. While they were all gathered together, the Holy Spirit came upon them — so we see that in many cases people are baptized and are not filled with the Holy Spirit; the fullness of the Holy Spirit comes in a different event, a different moment.

As I shared with you, the devil is a liar — that is point number 4 — and he seeks to deceive at any cost, so he has a counterfeit for everything that is true.

That is why there is true baptism and there is false baptism, and this is very important — the great majority have received a false baptism, especially among Latinos. There are many sects in this time; there are other churches where, through deception, baptism theoretically — in practice — ends up being the way it should be, but because of the deception that the tree itself is bad, they are in apostasy.

Unfortunately there are also problems with baptism — I will share some of the false baptisms with you; I say "some," because truly there is so much deception out there right now that if you set out to search, and search, and dig deeper into the different denominations — because there are more than 22 thousand denominations in the world, apparently, according to Google, at this moment, 22 thousand — and in some of them, many, most, the baptism is similar.

But if you set out to search and look, there are some that perform rituals, such strange things, that you would have to hear them to understand what they do, because they are strange things — but the most common false baptisms are these: baptism in the Trinity, that is, baptism done in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit — is wrong, is incorrect. Those who do it that way are sincere — many of them are sincerely wrong, sincerely mistaken.

And we will look a bit further on at why it is false — baptism in death. There are other churches — if I'm not mistaken, the Jehovah's Witnesses are one of them — where they baptize in death. There are others out there too, but one of the best known, the Jehovah's Witnesses, baptize in death — it is a completely false baptism; death is the last enemy that will be defeated.

Adventist baptism is another erroneous, apostate, and false baptism practice — we'll talk about that a little further on. Others get baptized simply by being sprinkled with water, like the Catholics, who sprinkle a little water on them, and they are supposedly baptized — that is a baptism that is not in line with the word of God, it is false.

God is a God of order — He is certainly a jealous God, and obedience is very important to God; doing things the way He commands is very important.

Another baptism that is false is infant baptism — many churches baptize children, including the Catholics, but that baptism is false.

And another one: no baptism at all. Yes, there are doctrines out there right now, some of them supposedly Christian, in which you don't have to be baptized.

Other churches do believe in water baptism, but they say, "The baptism of the Holy Spirit doesn't exist, that was for before, that's false, God no longer dwells in men," or things like that. There are so many strange doctrines out there — that too is false. We clearly see how the Holy Spirit is received — the Holy Spirit is received through the laying on of the apostles' hands, the Holy Spirit is received even while the apostles are preaching, and the word says that whoever is not born again of water and the Spirit cannot enter the kingdom of heaven; it also says, "and you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you" — if we are not filled with the Holy Spirit, we do not have the power of God.

And so, as I mentioned some of the false baptisms, it's obvious there are many baptism doctrines, but according to the word of God, there is only one true baptism — the word says in Ephesians 4:5-6, "There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism; there is one God and Father of all, who is above all, works through all, and is in all."

There is only one faith — there aren't many faiths, there aren't 700 different churches with 700 different true faiths. There is one faith. There aren't 22,000 different doctrines in the Bible, the way there are 22,000 denominations at this moment. No.

There is one faith, one baptism, one God — there aren't many gods, there aren't many roads, like they say out there. The word says the road that leads to salvation is narrow, and few find it; that narrow road is the Lord Jesus Christ. To enter through that road you must keep His word — not the way you want to interpret it or live it out, no — but the way He ordered us to keep it, because if anyone says they know Him and does not keep His word, that person

is a liar.

Trinitarian baptism, or the baptism of those who are baptized in the name of the Trinity — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — they primarily use Matthew 28:19-20 to be baptized that way, and to justify that this is the correct baptism. That is how Catholics baptize, Trinitarian Pentecostals baptize, and there are many other denominations out there who baptize in the name of the Trinity — and in the love of Christ, I invite all of you who do it that way to pay close attention to the word of God we are reading, and also to read it for yourselves.

You urgently need to repent of having received a false baptism, and you need to be baptized again in a true church, where you are truly disciples of the Lord, if you truly want to enter through the narrow gate.

The word says in Matthew 28:19-20, which is the passage they use to justify that baptism: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you; and I assure you that I will be with you always, to the very end of the world. Amen."

So here the Lord says, go and baptize in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. If we interpret it literally, it makes sense why one would be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit — but if you pay attention to the teaching we already covered previously, teaching number 6 of this series, that Jesus Christ —

He is the Father, He is the Son, and the Holy Spirit — the whole Godhead of God dwells, in bodily form, in Jesus Christ.

He is saying, be baptized in My name — that is, be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Whoever is baptized in the name of Jesus Christ is being baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit — but whoever is baptized in the name of "the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit" literally does not actually know in what name they are being baptized. It's like you — you have a body, a soul, and a spirit — and if I want to give you a gift of 100 dollars, I go to the bank and say, "put those 100 dollars in the name of the body, the soul, and the spirit of so-and-so," but I never say your name — and moreover I say, these 100 dollars are to be deposited to, or sent to, "the body, the soul, and the spirit" — what am I even referring to? If there are 8 billion people, and all of us have a body, a soul, and a spirit — with the exception of a few, a handful out there, who might be hybrids and don't have a soul, they only have spirit and body — but the great majority, those who are truly human, we have a body, a soul, and a spirit — and if I say, "deposit it to the body, the soul, and the spirit," to whom does it go?

Now then, if your name is Patricia Mariela, and I say, "deposit those 100 dollars to Patricia Mariela," with the last name — then yes, that is in your name.

If we want to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ in order to be saved — there is only one narrow gate that leads to salvation, in Jesus Christ. Baptism is for salvation; if Jesus Christ is the narrow gate, if only in the name of Jesus Christ can we be saved — the word of God clearly says so — and if we are being baptized for salvation, then we have to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.

If we are baptized for salvation, the baptism has to be in the name of Jesus Christ, because Jesus Christ is the narrow gate — the baptism has to be in the name of Jesus Christ. But once again, the word here does say, "be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit" — but as I shared with you on the previous occasion, in teaching number 6, Jesus Christ — He is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; the whole Godhead of God dwells in bodily form in Jesus Christ — just as we are a trinity, we have a body, a soul, and a spirit, but we are one person. I have a body, a soul, and a spirit, but I am Francisco Gómez; you have a body, a soul, and a spirit, and you are your own name. So Jesus Christ — He is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, but He is one; there is one God, there are not two Gods, there are not three Gods, there is one God — Jesus Christ is God.

Another of the false baptisms is baptism in death — there are some churches that baptize in death. The word clearly tells us that death will be the last enemy to be defeated; it is completely wrong to be baptized in death. This is actually something that does not just happen now — it has happened since ancient times.

One verse that those who practice being baptized in death use is 1 Corinthians 15:29, which says, "Otherwise, what will those do who are baptized for the dead, if the dead are not raised at all? Why then are they baptized for them?"

Obviously Paul uses that phrase here because he was explaining something, but Satan, who is a liar, twists the situation — they misinterpret it and assume it means people are now being commanded to be baptized "into the dead," and there are churches, like the Jehovah's Witnesses, who baptize in death.

There are others — one of the things other churches do is baptize supposedly in the name of someone who has already died — for example, if a family member died or someone like that, they get baptized supposedly in that name, and it is totally wrong. If we look at the word of God again and again — we'll read at the end, it's the last point we'll cover today, later on, where we'll see in what name those who were baptized in the Bible were baptized — but also, from the scriptures we've already read, we see that baptism is in the name of Jesus Christ. Baptism in death is completely wrong — it is actually a blasphemy of the devil, because it is a lie.

Yes, Jesus Christ is the way, He is the narrow gate, there is one mediator between God and men, and that is Jesus Christ — but as we read, baptism is for salvation; if salvation is only through Jesus Christ, and baptism is for salvation, then baptism has to be in the name of Jesus Christ, which is the only name in which we can be saved — there is no other name by which we can be saved; only in the name of Jesus Christ is there salvation.

There is another false-baptism doctrine, which is (re-baptism) — and yes, in parentheses, because there is a way in which it is actually correct to be baptized again, but the way in which they re-baptize here is incorrect — at the end I will also talk about the way in which re-baptism is correct — and they use a passage to justify getting re-baptized.

This practice — primarily one of the churches I know uses it — is the Adventist church. They use the passage in Acts 19:1-7 to justify their church members getting baptized.

I have known some people from the Baptist church who have been baptized four times in the Baptist church. For example, if they go and commit fornication, and go out into the world and commit sin, they come to the church and get baptized again — it is wrong to be baptized that way. The word does not command us to be baptized five times, every time we sin — in reality, they treat it as if that were supposedly the way to repent. And certainly, if we sin, we have to repent — moreover, as I have told you before, even if we believe we have not sinned, it does us good anyway to ask forgiveness and say, "Lord, forgive us for all the sins we may have committed in ignorance without realizing it."

Many times I share with you that it is better for us to be like the tax collector, because in the temple there was a Pharisee and a tax collector — the word says — and the Pharisee looked at the tax collector who came; the tax collector didn't even want to go into the temple, he stayed outside, because he said, "Lord, I am a sinner, I am not worthy to be in Your presence." He didn't want to go into the temple, and he was repentant — but the Pharisee prayed to himself, the word says he said, "How good that I am not like that man, how good that I do this, that I do that, that I do the other." And the word says, "Truly I tell you, the tax collector who repented and acknowledged his sin, who acknowledged that he was a sinful man, was going to be justified much more easily than the one who was in the temple and believed himself to be perfect."

So it's better for us to be, to learn from the tax collector — it's better that, like him, we beat our chest and say, "Lord, I am not worthy of Your presence, I am a sinful man." And the women too: "I am not worthy of Your presence, Lord, I am a sinful woman."

Those of us who are like the tax collector have a better chance of being justified — but the one who believes himself perfect and believes he has nothing to repent of ends up, sometimes, being rejected by God, like that Pharisee.

But here the word says, in Acts 19:4-6, where the apostle Paul recommends for a group of believers who had previously received John's baptism — which, moreover, was a baptism of repentance.

Acts 19:4-6 — Paul said, "John baptized with a baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was coming after him, that is, in Jesus Christ." When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus, and when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied.

But here, this scripture is used by the Adventist church to justify getting baptized more than once. Certainly, this scripture does justify being baptized more than once — but not in the way they are interpreting it.

Here, the reason Paul and those who heard Paul's preaching felt the urgency, the need to be baptized again, is because when they heard this, they didn't even know about the Holy Spirit.

They had first been baptized with John's baptism, which was not a false baptism — it was a true baptism, but it was a baptism unto repentance, because after John came the Lord, so John's baptism was for repentance, but Jesus Christ's baptism was for salvation. So the baptism they had received was correct — it wasn't incorrect, as happens so much these days — but it was incomplete.

At that moment, these men whom Paul preached to hadn't even heard about the Holy Spirit yet — they didn't yet know the Lord Jesus Christ, they hadn't heard the teaching, and they didn't even know the Holy Spirit existed. So when Paul preached to them, they realized they had received something that was true, but incomplete — that their gospel was not complete, that there was more. So when they heard Paul, and he preached to them that they needed to be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, then they said, "okay," they felt the urgency, and they were baptized again — they had already been baptized by John, but now they were baptized again, this time in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and they also received the Holy Spirit.

So, in this context — which is the correct context in which one should indeed be baptized again — if someone was baptized, for example, like many who were baptized in a church, in that Jehovah's Witnesses church, and were baptized in death, and now they hear a teaching like this one, and they believe and say, "Wow, that teaching was wrong, that doctrine was bad" — if they believe and are convinced that the baptism was incorrect, if they are convinced that the church where they were baptized that way is a sect and is in apostasy, then yes, it is correct for them to be baptized again, in a church where they are truly disciples of the Lord. In that context, being baptized is indeed correct.

But if it's like, for example, the case of the Adventists, who already got baptized in the Adventist church, and the next month, after they go commit sin out there, they come back and are supposedly baptized again, and then again — that is incorrect. It's a false doctrine, a wrong way of supposedly leading them to repentance.

The point is that they do this, I imagine, to supposedly bring the person to repentance, and that is not the way — it is not the correct way. If there is a life of sin, if there is a vicious circle in which the person goes up and down, there are demonic chains — for there to be true stability, first they have to hear the truth, repent with all their heart of the sin, ideally have someone anointed by God minister deliverance to them, so those chains are broken — whether of addictions, fornication, adultery, whatever it is that's causing the person to keep falling. Then, when the chains are broken, and if the person is repentant in their heart, then yes, they will remain firm — but simply getting baptized again, if those chains aren't broken, that chain is still there; that chain is broken by the power of the Holy Spirit, broken through prayer, through fasting, with a contrite heart, with repentance — when there is a conviction that the wages of sin is death, it is easier for us to receive that help from the Lord, that strength, that genuine desire to resist temptation.

Another false baptism is the baptism done by sprinkling people with water, like the Catholics — there are different types of baptism; I'm just mentioning one — but if there are churches where they don't submerge the person in water, where they just sprinkle them with water or something like that, that is incorrect.

It is incorrect because it is not in line with the word — first of all, that is not how the Lord Jesus Christ was baptized, and it is also not how He commands us to do it. So the Lord Jesus Christ is a God of order, He is a jealous God, and above all things, what He seeks from us, above everything else, is obedience — whatever we do, no matter what it is, if we do it in disobedience, He does not accept it.

Many people get it wrong. For example, when the Lord told a blind man, "Go, wash your face" — He put mud on him, "wash your face and you will be healed" — or when Elisha told Naaman, "Go and wash seven times in the Jordan," and when he threw himself into the water seven times, into the river, the leprosy was removed from the man.

And so there are various healings that took place both in the Old Testament and the New Testament, and people think, they attribute the power to the fact that the healing supposedly happened because he bathed in the river, or because of the mud — they believe the mud is what heals. The mud is not what heals; it wasn't the river that healed the leper — what healed the leper was that he was obedient to the command of God's prophet, because God had placed obedience in the prophet's heart. What God seeks is obedience.

The power of healing comes from God — it is the Lord who does things — but what He wants from us is obedience; salvation comes from God, but it comes through obedience. What the Lord wants is obedience, and He wants us to do things the way He commands, not the way we think is right.

Not that we now believe, "well, if God doesn't say to submerge in the water, we won't do it that way," and say, "well, I'll just splash three little drops of water on myself and I'm already baptized." No, no, no. The Lord does not accept that — the Lord wants obedience from our hearts. He wants us to do things the way He commands, not the way we want.

But behind baptism, there is much more — it is something much deeper. But here, for example, let's look at some scriptures. In Matthew 3:13-16, the word says, "Then Jesus came from Galilee to John, to the Jordan, to be baptized by him. But John tried to prevent Him, saying, 'I need to be baptized by You, and You come to me?' But Jesus answered him, 'Let it be so now, for it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness this way,' and then John allowed Him — and Jesus, after He was baptized, went up immediately from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming upon Him."

The Lord was baptized — where? In the Jordan. What is the Jordan? It's a river — the Lord was submerged in water, in the river. But we also see another scripture that speaks of John, that he baptized many people in the Jordan — he was in the river, he didn't have a little jug and go pouring a little jug of water on people. No, people went to the river where John was, and John submerged them.

We also see another scripture, in John 3:23 — "John was also baptizing at Aenon, near Salim, because there was plenty of water there, and people were coming and being baptized."

Do you notice that? …where there was plenty of water. There were rivers, so that's where people went, and John baptized them there.

In Acts 8:38 we have another scripture, and it says — the baptism of the eunuch — "and he ordered the chariot to stop, and both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him."

This speaks of a eunuch, when Philip was caught away from Samaria by the Spirit — the Lord carried him in the Spirit, transported him in the Spirit — and he came upon a eunuch from Ethiopia, and the Lord put it on Philip's heart to approach him, and Philip shared the word with him. The eunuch believed that Jesus Christ was the Christ, and once the eunuch understood the word, they saw a river, and the eunuch asked, "What prevents me from being baptized?" And Philip told him, "Nothing prevents it — if you believe with all your heart, you can be baptized." At that moment they got up — Philip had barely shared the word with the eunuch, but the eunuch believed, and they saw a river, and Philip went and put him in the river.

If we look at various scriptures where clearly baptism was being done in the river — there are churches that say, "no, baptism in the river is false" — but in the word of God, even the Lord Himself was baptized in the river, when John the Baptist baptized in the river.

So, there are many doctrines like these that are false, but everything required for us to stand firm, so that we are not made to stumble by deceptions, is simply the word of God — because the word of God makes it clear, the baptisms in the word of God took place in the river. In other words, whoever says that being baptized in a river is false — something is wrong with that person or with that church, because if Jesus Christ was baptized in the river, John the Baptist clearly baptized in the river, the eunuch was baptized in the river…

We see very few scriptures like the one with Philip, where the Lord took him up in the Spirit, transported him in the Spirit from one place to another, and made him appear where the eunuch was, and after he baptized the eunuch, Philip disappeared again and appeared somewhere else.

Clearly it is the work of the Lord, and it is clearly shown there that Philip baptized the eunuch in the river — so baptism in the river, submerged in water, is what is correct.

Another baptism that is incorrect is infant baptism — many churches baptize newborns, one month old, two months old, three months old. Why is infant baptism incorrect? Because baptism is for salvation, but baptism must be preceded by repentance — if there is no repentance, there is no salvation. A newborn infant cannot repent, because it doesn't even understand, it doesn't yet know what sin is. So for there to be salvation, for baptism to be correct, it has to be an adult — not necessarily an adult, not necessarily of legal age, but someone who has sufficient understanding — enough understanding that when the word is preached to them, they can understand what sin is, why God hates sin, and the consequences of sin.

If the person has enough understanding to grasp the consequences of sin, and after hearing the word, repents and says, "Lord, forgive me because I did commit sin — I did this, I did that, and I don't want to sin against You, Lord. I now understand that if I sin I move away from You, that sin is a barrier between You and me; I want to be with You" — that is, if the person already has the understanding to repent, to understand sin and repent, then this person can be baptized.

We see in the word how, when the apostles preached, they would say, "Repent, each one of you, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ."

Repent — that is, the first step before baptism has to be repentance. If there's no repentance, it doesn't matter who is baptized — whether it's the neighbor, the uncle, the cousin, the mom, the dad — whoever is baptized without repentance, that baptism is false, plain and simple.

For baptism to be true, for baptism to bear the fruits it should, to bring about a regeneration of the soul, it must first be preceded by repentance.

Yes. Every baptism without repentance is a false baptism — that is why infant baptism is incorrect. The Lord did say, "Let the children come to Me, for to enter the kingdom of heaven you must become like them," and the Lord laid His hands on them and prayed for the children — we can do that, we can pray for children — and it is also good to raise children in the way of God, it's not just good, it's necessary, it's also a command of God — but baptizing them without them yet having sufficient understanding, that is not correct.

It's like a story I heard, where someone asked a person, "have you been baptized?" — and she was an adult, around 40 or 50 years old — and she replied, "I have to ask my mom whether I've been baptized, I'm not sure."

In other words, maybe she was baptized as an infant, but she doesn't even know whether she's been baptized. That is clearly wrong — she doesn't even know if she's been baptized, she said, "I'll ask my mom." Salvation does not come through your mom — salvation comes through you; if we are adults, we have to repent ourselves. The Lord says, "the soul who sins shall die." Certainly, the mom can be an influence that leads us to salvation and to the way of God, but the fact that she got baptized and repented — if I do not repent, I am the one who is wrong; the soul who sins shall die.

Another false doctrine about baptism is no baptism at all. We are in an enormous apostasy, and in these times, if you talk with many people out there, you're going to run into all kinds of people who will argue with you — some will tell you, "you don't have to be baptized, I'm already saved, God is good, and if I believe in God, I am saved" — "I don't have to read the Bible" — (as I shared with you, this very week, several days ago, I ran into a person like that, supposedly Christian, who said that she didn't have to be baptized, that she didn't have to seek God in the word of God, that she can find God in the forest, in the field) — and there are so many doctrines like that, where they say you no longer have to repent, or you no longer have to be baptized.

You will find all kinds of things — but every doctrine, no matter what they add to it, no matter what they attach to it, if they say "no baptism," that it's not necessary, they are lying. The word clearly says, "repent," and that baptism is for salvation, and that no one can enter the kingdom of heaven unless they are born of water and the Spirit.

That is what the word clearly says, in many scriptures — that it is important, it is necessary, it is a command of God, baptism. There is only one exception, because many also use the passage about one of the men crucified next to the Lord, to whom the Lord said, "truly I tell you, today you will be with Me in paradise," to justify saying you don't have to be baptized. Certainly it is possible to still be saved, by the mercy of God, without baptism — but in a case like that one, that man who was a thief, but who, in the very last moment of his life, repented and believed in the One who is true — he no longer had the opportunity to be baptized. He wasn't baptized not because he didn't believe — he believed in the Lord. If that man had been down from the cross and the Lord had said to him, "you know what? You have believed in Me" — but as that man believed, if he had had the opportunity, if he hadn't already been on his deathbed, I am certain he would have been baptized.

Only if there is no other way, if there is truly no alternative, because it's the very last minute, like in that case — or there's a good justification, that there is nobody, no true pastor of God nearby, I believe there are many apostate churches around, and someone, knowing the truth, no longer wants to be baptized in death, or in a false church — those are few justifications that would excuse someone from not being baptized and still receive mercy before God.

But if it's simply because of a false doctrine, like, "I don't have to be baptized because I'm already saved," and there is a true church near us and we don't do it — that is a soul, and we don't know where it's going to end up. The word clearly commands us to be baptized, and it even tells us how to do it.

Another point — because I know that for those who hold the Trinitarian view, the confusion comes because the word says, "and baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit." Very important — I am not a Unitarian either.

In the previous week we talked about why both doctrines — the Trinitarian and the Unitarian — are wrong, because in the end God is one, but He is a trinity, made up of three, of three parts — not that there are three persons, as many present it. The Trinitarians present it as three different persons, practically three gods — but no.

There is only one God — I'm not going to talk much about it here, because in the previous teaching (number 6 of this series, look it up), I shared clearly why both doctrines are wrong.

God is a trinity, but He is one — He is made up of three parts, but He is one God, just as we are made up of three parts, but we are one person — we have a body, a soul, and a spirit, but we are one person. There aren't three Gods, we aren't three persons — I don't have three IDs, three forms of identification, or three passports — I have one passport. God — the whole Godhead of God dwells in bodily form in Jesus Christ, says the word of God.

But if we look in the word of God at what name people were baptized in — I'm just going to read a few, but if you search the whole word of God for what name everyone in the Bible was baptized in, with the exception of those John baptized — in what name were they all baptized? Let's look — Galatians 3:26-27, "All of you are children of God through faith in Christ Jesus, because all who have been baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ."

Those who have been baptized into Christ have clothed themselves with Christ — right there it is clearly implying that those who had been baptized were baptized into Christ — that is, who is Christ? Jesus Christ. Acts 22:16 — this word was for Paul, when Paul received the scales on his eyes, when he had an encounter with the Lord — when the disciple came and laid hands on him, the scales fell, and the disciple said to Paul, "And now, what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on His name." What name? The name of Jesus Christ.

Paul was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ — the apostle Paul, who was used to write 15 books of the Bible, was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.

We also have Romans 6:3, "Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death?"

"All of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus" — if you look at every passage, with the exception of the one that says, "be baptized all of you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit," they all clearly indicate — "those of us who have been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ" — because that's how everyone was baptized.

Paul was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ — in Acts 2:36-38 — "Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ." When they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?" Peter said to them, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

Look here — it clearly gives the procedure for baptism: repent.

As I just said, for baptism to be true, there first has to be repentance — if a person has no conviction of sin, even if they are baptized, that person keeps sinning, because there is no conviction of sin — it is not a true new birth that has taken place.

For repentance to bear fruit, for baptism to bear the fruits of renewal, of restoration, of a new birth, there has to be repentance — but then it says here, "repent and be baptized, every one of you" — in what name? In the name of the Trinity? No — in the name of Jesus Christ.

I know that part is confusing for many, especially when someone grew up in a church, or was formed in a church, where they say, "we are of sound doctrine, and baptism carries that name — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit — and if you don't get baptized that way, it's false."

It is hard, because behind that — as you can clearly see in the videos, when I minister to people live — unclean spirits manifest; there are powers of darkness that come in and now control the mind, creating a demonic stronghold that makes it hard for them to think or understand. That is what happens, for example, with Catholics, or with any false religion — you tell them the idols are not of God, you tell them, and they answer, "No, but I have to have Saint Michael, Saint Peter, Saint whoever, and the Virgin of such-and-such" — because even though you explain, "Look, the word says this here," and you give them the whole passage explaining why, they can't understand you — it's as if you were talking to a rock. What they do is get angry with you — you want them to turn away from sin, because you love them, because you don't want their soul to be lost — but they get angry with you; they simply cannot understand you, because behind those idols there are demonic powers that bind the mind. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood. For them to be able to understand, first those demons that have their mind bound have to be defeated, destroyed.

But that happens in false churches too, even if it's not the Catholic one — it happens in all of them, in the Mormon church — you go to the Mormons and say, "no, what do you mean you get baptized in death?" You say, "Look, the word says you have to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ," and they answer, "No, no, no, Moroni told us we have to be baptized in death." They're like zombies, they can't understand you — what they do is get angry, it's a demonic stronghold. That is why in these teachings we pray a lot, and we are waging a real war against those mental demons.

If we want true salvation for our loved ones, if we want salvation in our community, we first have to fight in the spirit against those demons that have the mind chained — they have to be loosed, they have to be destroyed. Then, once the mind is set free, they will be able to hear us. What do I mean by this? Humility is needed!

God gives grace to the humble. If we are not humble, we can fall into error — like what I just mentioned about the Catholics, the Jehovah's Witnesses, or the Pharisees in the Bible, whom the Lord Jesus Christ Himself came and preached to, and they said, "no, we are children of Abraham, we are not children of fornication" — practically saying, "we are saved." But with humility — God gives grace to the humble.

We can be wrong, right? And suddenly, just as I mentioned that the devil puts up a demonic stronghold, so that even if you explain something ever so carefully, they still can't understand — what if we are like that? What if the devil managed to put up a stronghold in our own mind, and there's an area of ours that's blocked, so that even when a person preaches the truth to us with love, we simply cannot understand it? That's where the problem is that causes so many souls to be lost — that's why so many get angry, even those who are more clearly living in sin, those who, for example, believe in Buddha.

There are people who believe in Buddha, and you preach the word to them, and they reject you, they get angry — but if they had humility, they would realize they do this because they're under that demonic influence; Buddha represents a demon — behind every idol, behind every deception, there is a demon operating through it. Those who are part of the church, and those who come often to the private prayer room, know what I'm talking about, because they see every day how those kinds of demons manifest, deceiving people and keeping their minds blocked, until those demons are cast out — and that's when people, so to speak, wake up and say, "wow, now I see everything differently, Pastor, now I really understand, Pastor." Those demons had their mind blocked, as it were.

But if there is humility, even if a person doesn't understand, they tell the Lord: "Have mercy on me — if I am deceived, if there is some mental block, something keeping me from understanding this word, from understanding what the pastor is telling me — Lord, have mercy on me."

If we are humble, God gives grace to the humble — He helps us there, even without deliverance, if we are humble the Lord helps us, so that even though those demons may still be around, they can no longer block the mind as much. But when someone hardens their heart and believes they know it all, there's a problem — they're practically helping the enemy put up a wall that resists the Holy Spirit.

And finally, to conclude this teaching — in this case yes, it is correct to be baptized again for those who were baptized falsely. I mentioned some of the most common ways of false baptism to you — not all of them, I'm telling you, we are in the final time, and if you go out there and dig around, you're going to find so many strange baptisms that you'll be surprised.

If you were baptized as children and don't even know when you were baptized, or if you were baptized in the past even apparently in a "correct" way, but there was no repentance, nobody preached to you that the wages of sin is death — that baptism is false.

For example, a person I ministered to recently, a transvestite, wanted to be healed of certain things, but he didn't think that being a transvestite was a sin — he was "supposedly" a Christian, and even a worship leader — he sings, worship leader, transvestite. When I preached to him, when I spoke with him, he was confused — and people think that even if a person got baptized in a "supposedly true" church — well, I don't know how true it would really be, because I don't know who's baptizing without repentance, that's already wrong on its own — but assuming he was correctly baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, if there was no repentance, because he still didn't know, didn't understand — nobody took the time to clearly share with him that homosexuality, that being a transvestite — the word clearly says that the effeminate, or men who lie with other men, will not enter the kingdom of heaven — if nobody clearly preached the word to him and he didn't understand it, even if he's baptized, that baptism is false. Why is it false? Because there was no repentance — nobody preached to him the consequence of sin, so he didn't repent.

Without repentance, there is no salvation — so if they were baptized incorrectly, because they weren't correctly preached to, because they didn't understand many things — the church many times preaches a watered-down gospel, and they think, "you just come to church and say, 'I receive You, Lord,' and then go fornicate, go commit adultery, go lie, go steal, and it doesn't matter what you want to do, you're already saved, you've already received the Lord." In some churches, that is practically the gospel they preach — that if you come to church and you tithe, it doesn't matter what you do, you're free to do whatever you want — and that is not reality.

More than anything, the reality is in the word of God — so what the Lord says, that's it, plain and simple. Furthermore, we don't overcome sin by our own strength either — if we try to overcome sin by our own strength, that's a kind of legalism, and it's also impossible to do that in reality — only through the Lord.

When it is a true birth, when we are led by His Holy Spirit, then doing what pleases God is no longer a barrier, it's no longer tedious, it's no longer an effort — it's something that is truly in our heart, it's what we want to do.

When we truly have that encounter with the Lord, and the Lord sets us free, breaks those chains — what we used to love, we now hate; there's no longer an effort, there's no longer an "ugh, I have to do that." No, no — it's something you simply do, because it's what you want to do. So, as in this case, in Acts 19:4-6, where Paul re-baptized those who had been baptized by John, he did it because their baptism was incomplete. If you were baptized as children, for example, if you were baptized in death (I was baptized Catholic, I had to be baptized again) — one has to be baptized again, one has to repent of that baptism — if you were baptized in the name of the Trinity, baptism for salvation has to be in the name of Jesus Christ — that is a valid justification for being baptized again.

If you understood this teaching and the others we've done, you understand that a bad tree is a bad tree — that is, that the church where you came to know the Lord was in apostasy. If the tree is bad, the fruits are bad. If the Lord already gives you conviction in your heart that the church where you believed you were in the truth, where you "supposedly" came to know the Lord, was actually in apostasy, that they weren't truly disciples of God — even though they talked about the word, like all the churches do (the Catholics, all the Christian churches speak the word, the Jehovah's Witnesses use the word, everyone uses the Bible, even though some have made changes to it, but they still use the Bible, most of the words are the same) — but if you realize that the church is wrong, that it truly is a sect, that they are not true disciples of God, that their doctrine is mistaken — then yes, that is a valid justification for being baptized again. Only when there is conviction of sin, only when there is conviction that the previous church or baptism was wrong, or was incomplete, then yes, you can be baptized again.

This is the word I had for all of you — thank you for your attention. May the Lord bless you.

Now we are going to rebuke, because our struggle is not against flesh and blood, and as I mentioned, even behind false baptisms there are powers of darkness that, through that baptism, put on spiritual chains, put up barriers, that block someone from understanding, from grasping when someone preaches the truth to them — which is, once again, the reason why many of our loved ones, even when we preach to them, even when we speak to them as clearly as possible, and explain to them in the simplest terms the sins they are committing, they still cannot understand us. But we are going to rebuke those spirits, because they are demons. So I invite you, please stand up, and let's pray.

I remind you that all the teachings we are doing will be available on our website, jesusreydereyes.com

PRAYER #2:

May every one of those lying demons, who make people believe they were baptized as children, or with a false baptism, spirit of apostasy, who make them believe it doesn't matter what life they live, even if they live a life completely contrary to what the Lord says in His word — of drunkenness, of fornication, of rebellion, of adultery — every lying demon who makes our family believe that they are still saved, so that they won't repent, so that they won't seek God — may those demons catch fire, in the name of Jesus. There is power in the name of Jesus Christ. Our Lord answers by fire.

Fire goes before our Lord and consumes His enemies. Not being able to rest at night, come out, in the name of Jesus. Lack of rest, come out, in the name of Jesus. Sleeping but feeling like you never really rest, get out, in the name of Jesus.

Nighttime thieves of energy, come out, in the name of Jesus. Vampire spirit that sucks out energy at night, come out, in the name of Jesus. Spiritual husbands and spiritual wives who disturb people at night with sex and food in dreams, I rebuke you, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Every diabolical spirit baby, may it catch fire, may its heart and head explode, in the name of Jesus. May fire come down and consume every dead witch and warlock that visits us at night. Ancestral witches and warlocks who visit at night to curse us while we sleep, may they catch fire, in the name of Jesus.

Every act of witchcraft sent by witches who travel astrally, and while we are resting, curse us — I bind and break that witchcraft, in the name of Jesus. Every deposit of sickness, of discomfort, of ailments, of sadness, of confusion, of malaise, of poverty, of various problems, meant to manipulate our day.

Every demonic programming done during the night while we sleep, I cancel it, in the name of Jesus Christ. Every work of darkness against our life that was launched during the night, we cancel it, we cover it with the blood of Jesus Christ. Every altar that has been made representing us — with our photo, our name, our last name, with offerings, with photos of our children, of our family — every altar that involves us, that darkness has made, may those altars catch fire and explode, in the name of Jesus.

There is power in the name of Jesus Christ. No weapon formed against us will prosper. He who is with us is stronger than he who is in the world. I cover myself, and I cover every member of my family, everyone who has been in contact with me, our homes, and everything we touch, with the blood of Jesus Christ. And I bless each one of you — I bless all our activities and work, that they be in accordance with the will of God, in the name of Jesus. And in the name of Jesus Christ I have prayed. Amen.
