All believers do understand the idolatry that operates in other churches and other religions, like those who believe in Buddha, for example. Christians do understand the idolatry that operates, for example, in the Catholic Church, the idols they have. But very few Christians discern and understand the idolatry that operates even within the Christian church. Satan is a liar and the father of lies, and he is well camouflaged within the Christian church, seeking to turn hearts, souls, away from the Lord.

Some of the points we will be covering in this teaching are:

1) Some types of idolatry.

2) Some characteristics of idols.

1) Some types of idolatry.

We will cover some, but not all, because there are so very many idols that can exist within the Christian church, but I'm going to mention the most common ones.

And we will also talk about how the Lord will judge idolaters, including the nations that do not repent of idolatry. Idolatry is one of the most abominable sins before the Lord. It's something very serious. Satan seeks to make the world believe that nothing happens if you're an idolater, because the devil is a liar.

Nothing seems to happen physically when someone is an idolater, but in the spirit it brings death. And in the near future, if they don't repent, they will also be judged, and there will be eternal death, and weeping and gnashing of teeth.

As for some of the types of idolatry, we will read some passages of God's word, and with the word we will expose some of the idols, because many times people think an idol is only an image — that if it's an image or a statue, then it's automatically an idol. And that is certainly one type of idolatry, but there are other types of idolatry.

The word says in 1 Samuel 15:23:

"For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, He has also rejected you from being king."

Stubbornness, being obstinate, wanting something and insisting on having it by force — that is idolatry. The word says that witchcraft is like rebellion, and stubbornness is like idols and idolatry. Notice, here it speaks of a type of idolatry that isn't something physical but a behavior. Becoming obsessed with something, insisting on having something — that is idolatry: 'that's what I want, and that's what I want, and that's what I want.' So there we have one type of idolatry.

In Acts 17:16, the word says:

"Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry."

Here Paul was visiting the city of Athens, but he saw that the city was full of many statues, many images, many saints, many things that people venerated.

Some religions say, 'No, we're not idolaters, we just venerate the little Virgin.' Venerating something is idolatry. Having an image crafted by man and giving it special value — that special value is idolatry. That is idolatry, it is abominable before God.

In Colossians 3:5 it says:

"Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry."

Here we have another form of idolatry — being greedy, loving material things, wanting more and more, is a form of idolatry: covetousness. So we're already seeing that there are different types of idolatry — there are statues, there are images, but also stubbornness, and also covetousness is idolatry, the word of God says.

In Exodus 20:3-6, the word says:

"You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them nor serve them, for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me."

Here the word commands something a bit more precise: you shall not make an image of anything that is in the heavens. Who is in heaven? The Lord is there, His angels are there, and the word says you shall not make an image of anything that is in heaven. Which means that if we make an image of the Lord who is in heaven, if we make an image of angels who are in heaven — it also says you shall not make an image of anything that is under the earth, in the waters — if we make images of spiritual beings, we are sinning against the Lord, because the Lord commands, you shall not make an image.

Images of a false Jesus are idolatry, because that is not the Lord, but an idol created by man. But in this verse the Lord not only says not to do it — He also says He will visit the iniquity of the fathers upon the third and fourth generation of those who hate Him. The Lord not only says in this passage that if someone makes an image of something in heaven (which includes the Lord, or the angels, or supposedly the Virgin), that person is already being disobedient before God, but the Lord also says that those who do such a thing hate Him, by saying, 'they hate Me.' That is what the Lord says to those who do that.

I want you to pay attention that it says: 'I punish the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me.' Here the Lord is saying that those who make images of what is in heaven, which includes Him, hate Him. But He says, I punish the iniquity of the fathers. That is, He is saying that the parents who make an image of Jesus, or of the saints, or of the angels, or of what is under the earth, are evil. But that He is going to punish the parents' iniquity upon the children.

That is, the children are cursed. Many children are cursed. Many of us were cursed because our parents had images, and the Lord clearly tells us in His word that He will visit the iniquity of the parents, because parents who have images are evil before Him, they are iniquitous. And so He will punish the children to the third and fourth generation — that is, the grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, cursed because their parents had an image. Many of our children are cursed because we had images — all of us.

Babylon, the spirit of the Catholic Church, the spirit that operates in the Catholic Church, has taught the people of the earth to fornicate. It taught everyone, especially Latinos, to have images. And by doing that we cursed ourselves, and we cursed our children, our grandchildren, our great-grandchildren, our great-great-grandchildren — four generations cursed. And if the children also have images afterward, another four generations on top of that.

The point here is that there are families that have been cursed since colonization — the whole family cursed. From that comes fornication, adultery, incest, and all the other sexual sins, addictions, the premature death of many children because of idolatry. But the Lord is good and merciful — if we understand that we have sinned against Him, if we understand that we were idolaters out of ignorance and sinned before a Holy God who hates idolatry, we all have the opportunity to repent of that sin, and whoever repents and turns away from evil finds mercy.

In Revelation 2:14, the word says:

"But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality."

Also, a doctrine different from the doctrine of the Lord Jesus Christ, from the doctrine of the disciples, of the apostles, is idolatry. Being part of a church that holds a different doctrine, where they are not disciples of the Lord, no matter what they call themselves — but if they are not disciples of the Lord, if they hold a different doctrine, it is idolatry.

In 1 Corinthians 12:2, it says:

"You know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led."

Dumb idols. That is, what people worship does not speak, but the true God, even though we don't see Him with our eyes, He does speak, because He is alive. He is seated on His throne, He is King of kings and Lord of lords. The true God does speak, He does hear us, He does look and He does see. He is the Creator of all things, but the world's idols — these do not speak.

In Galatians 4:8-11, it says:

"But then, indeed, when you did not know God, you served those which by nature are not gods. But now after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage? You observe days and months and seasons and years. I am afraid for you, lest I have labored for you in vain."

'You observe days, months, years.' What does the world do? Every month there are different celebrations, they observe certain days — it's almost every month or every two months, every nation has its holidays. They call them holidays, but in church they call them 'holy days.' That is, because they're days of worship — but who is worshiped on those days? The one who is controlling this world for just a little while longer: Satan.

The word says that worshiping those seasons, worshiping those dates, is a form of idolatry, by taking part in the world's celebrations. The word says here in Galatians 4:8-11, 'they are enslaved again.' Because by celebrating the world's feasts, the world's celebrations, the world's holy days, there are powers of darkness that receive worship through them, and through those celebrations they gain power over people's lives in order to enslave them.

So much so that Paul says, 'I am afraid for you, that I may have labored for you in vain.' In other words, I preached the word to you in vain, you said you received Jesus in vain, because if you keep celebrating pagan things, if you keep celebrating and observing the days, the months, days you consider special, it is a form of idolatry.

If God does not make something holy, if God did not sanctify a day, it is not holy, because God is holy, and what He sanctifies is holy — but who is man, or who is the prince of this age (Satan), to supposedly sanctify a day and create many days throughout the year that are supposedly holy days? Only God can do that; this is blasphemy, it is false worship, it is idolatry.

In 1 Corinthians 10:7 we are shown another form of idolatry:

"And do not become idolaters as were some of them. As it is written, 'The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.'"

Being lazy, doing nothing, and being focused on games is a form of idolatry.

Yes, games, even sports, are a form of idolatry: basketball, baseball, soccer, boxing. All these things are a form of idolatry, because for a person to be able to compete professionally, do you know how many years they have to spend practicing, how many hours a day?

They practically have to put their whole heart into it. But behind that there's more to it too. For example, look at a person earning 20, 30, 40, 50 million dollars for kicking a soccer ball, earning 30, 40, 50 million for throwing a ball into a basketball hoop, earning 50, 60 million a year for hitting a ball with a stick. Because the world loves its own.

But a person who is a disciple of Jesus Christ, as is my case, and whom God uses even to raise the dead, to heal people with HIV, to whom greater authority is given, who heals the mentally ill, those who have autism — then we are hated.

To the world we're not even worthy of an offering; the world criticizes us, and if we ask for an offering, the world says, 'look, that one's asking for an offering.' But they'll spend 70 dollars and get the jersey number of some person who kicks a ball. They give 70 dollars for a jersey, 25, 30, 40, 50 for a cap, 200 for shoes if they say Michael Jordan — that doesn't bother them.

Because the world loves its own, because it's an idol of the world. But toward the one who serves Christ, whom God uses to save souls, to heal the sick, the world says, 'oh no, not for that!' Because they are idolaters of the world — it is idolatry.

Sports are idolatry — it's something valued even more highly than the things of God. Those of us who serve Christ, especially if we are true disciples, are hated, criticized, slandered, humiliated, and despised. All kinds of evil are said about us, and to the world we deserve nothing. If we work, that's wrong; if we serve God and also work, they criticize us. If we serve the Lord full-time and pray a lot, they also criticize us for praying so much, saying we shouldn't pray that much. If we raise up the sick, if we heal, the world says, 'oh no, you can't do that, that's evil!'

The point is that to the world, everything that those of us who serve God do is wrong. Everyone looks for a way to oppose us, everyone tries to criticize us. But regarding their idols, like sports, then they say, 'oh, that's good!'

Sports are an idol, and many people's hearts are in sports. There are churches, for example, where if there's a soccer game and the service starts at 8 PM but the game starts at 9, they practically cut the service short. They want to finish quickly so they can go watch the game. That is idolatry, it's of the world, it's an idol. And the word says, 'the people sat down to eat, to drink, and to play.' Yes, playing games, wasting time, doing nothing, is a form of idolatry.

If we love God and understand that souls are lost, at the very least we should say, 'Lord, here I am. Lord, how can I contribute my grain of sand? Lord, how can I be useful to advance Your kingdom? Lord, here I am.'

To whom are they presenting their bodies, those who are focused on drinking, playing, and doing nothing? What fruit is there in sitting down to drink, to eat, and to play? It's practically a way of living a life without purpose, it's a form of idolatry. Because that way no fruit is produced — to bear fruit, we have to be focused on the Lord.

Instead of sitting down to eat, drink, and play, we have to be focused on reading the word, praying, and fasting. We have different options, and if instead of sitting down to eat, drink, and play, we sit down to pray, to read the word of God, to pray and fast, then we will bear fruit. We are no longer being idolaters, because we are putting our heart, our focus, on the Lord Jesus Christ.

One of the characteristics of idols is that they are mute, they don't speak. Idols can also be an object, an animal, a bird, a reptile, a thing, a tree, a stone. Idols can also be the desires of the heart. Whatever we love more than God, whatever takes first place in our heart, is an idol. An idol can be our children, our wife, our husband.

Many churches say the first ministry is marriage, is the wife. That's a lie, that's idolatry. The word says that God called the church, first, apostles. The first ministry in the church is that of the apostles. But the church of the world says, no, apostles don't exist.

The devil makes the world twist all the churches through idolatry. So the first ministry is not the family. Of course, the family is very important and we should love our family, we should take care of our family, and we should preach to our family.

But the word says we cannot serve two masters. The word says clearly that whoever loves father, son, or daughter more than Him is not worthy of Him. That whoever loves his wife more than Him is not worthy of Him.

The word says that whoever loses their father, mother, children, wife for His sake will receive more — a hundredfold in this generation, and then eternal life. So how can it be the first ministry when the word doesn't command that? If the situation arises, in whatever way it comes, we have to be able to leave them for Christ's sake. We cannot even love our own life more than God.

Our first ministry is to give our heart to Christ with our whole heart, and to put Him above all things, even above ourselves. But if we put marriage in first place, we are already idolaters of marriage. Even putting marriage in first place is idolatry. Putting children in first place is idolatry. Putting the husband, the wife, in first place is idolatry. The Lord Jesus Christ has to be in first place, even before our own life. Whoever loves himself more than the Lord is an idolater. He is an idolater of himself, a lover of himself.

In Ezekiel 14:5, it says:

"That I may seize the house of Israel by their heart, because they are all estranged from Me by their idols."

That is one of the characteristics, something that happens when there is idolatry: the heart is estranged from God. Because behind those idols there are demons that have spiritual power. And whoever sins, whoever commits idolatry, commits a sin. And whoever sins becomes a slave. And that bondage leads the person's heart to become estranged from God.

Idols also make people foolish, the word of God says. That is, because of idols, the mind, so to speak, becomes spiritually blocked. There are demons that actually block the mind, and then people cannot understand the word. That's why many who believe they are fine before God — I say 'believe' they're fine, and I say it because I really want each one of you to examine yourselves.

They believe they are fine before God and say to Catholics, 'You are an idolater, because you have the Virgin, because you have this and that.' And certainly those who worship the Virgin and such things are idolaters. But idols dull the mind. Catholics, for example, cannot understand you, because they are dulled by those idols.

Here the word says in Jeremiah 50:38:

"A drought is against her waters, and they will be dried up. For it is the land of carved images, and they are insane with their idols."

Do you understand? They become insane over their idols. That is, those idols dull the mind. The point is that later you try to explain to them, look, the word says, don't have that Virgin, don't do this — and they cannot understand it. They cannot understand it because they are dulled by those images.

But the same thing happens with those who claim to be Christians — the very ones who judge Catholics. Then if someone comes and tells them, 'Look, this too is idolatry. This celebration of Christmas, celebrating Santa Claus — Santa Claus is Satan, and by celebrating it you are an idolater too.' And so many other idols are shown to them, as we'll be discussing right now, and they cannot understand it, because these idols that they worship also have their mind dulled. To be free of this bondage requires a great deal of humility of heart.

These idols put a person into bondage, because they dull the mind, blind the eyes, so they don't understand. But God gives grace to the humble. Even if you don't understand whether something is idolatry or not, even if you disagree with something I share with you today — if you disagree, I understand that you might not get it. But blessed are the humble, who, even though they don't understand, give themselves the chance and pray, asking God, 'Lord, is he right, or is he wrong?'

Because of idols, society is in darkness. The evil that exists in the world comes through idolatry. Because through idolatry, ground is given to the devil, since it's an invitation to demons. What gives them access to this dimension to carry out their diabolical will is idolatry.

And the word says in Psalm 106:36:

"They served their idols, which became a snare to them."

That is, because of idolatry, everything is in ruins. Idolatry is society's problem.

2) Some characteristics of idols.

Now I'm going to mention some of the idols that operate within the Christian church. One of them I already mentioned earlier, but I'll mention it again:

Images of a false Jesus.

Look at the profiles of 10 well-known people who claim to be Christians, and many will have an image of a false Jesus. Is the Lord in heaven? Yes, the Lord is in heaven. You think that those images they use to represent the Lord are not an idol. They are a digital idol.

For example, in countries like Brazil I believe they have a huge false Jesus, a very large statue of a Jesus. That is an idol. But that same image they also have as a digital photo, they have it on their profile, in videos. It's an idol. And by having that image, supposedly representing God, they are being idolaters, they are sinning greatly before God.

Images of an eagle.

You will notice that many supposed prophets have an eagle on their profile, because supposedly the eagle is the spirit of prophecy — it's an idol. That eagle does not speak. That eagle represents the demons that supposedly open their ears, giving them a word. Because the word commands, you shall not make images — and now they have an image of an eagle supposedly representing God.

Images of a dove.

Which is supposedly the Holy Spirit, and many have it. By having images, they receive a false spirit.

Images of a sheep.

Which supposedly represents the Lord. Having a physical image is a type of idolatry.

Images of a large hand.

This image supposedly represents Jesus Christ. That image is idolatry.

In fact, recently I was ministering to someone and a demon manifested called 'the mighty hand of Jesus,' and when it manifested, the person I was ministering to saw a large hand practically gripping the person. But it was the hand of a demon, called the hand of Jesus, the mighty hand of God.

Because people make an idol out of what is supposedly the hand of God, and they make an image supposedly representing God as a hand. Now there is a demon that enters through those images. When they have those images, they are inviting demons in. Those images are a portal for darkness, which gives the devil ground over their lives.

In Romans 1:23, it says:

"and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things."

'An image of corruptible man' — that is how they exchange the glory of God.

I recently looked at the TikTok profile of a well-known person who supposedly has many years in the gospel. And looking at it surprised me, because in the preview thumbnails, of which there were hundreds, practically all of them had images of a false Jesus. But I could tell that even many of those images of 'Jesus' were completely different — they had different faces. They are clearly different men.

It's like saying, 'look, that's Pastor Francisco.' But one has light skin, another has dark skin, another has long hair, another is bald. Another has a completely different appearance. One looks Chinese, another looks Japanese, another looks Indian, another looks Latino. And still saying, 'oh look, that's Pastor Francisco.'

All of that is madness. How can there be ten of him? Unless there are ten different pastors named Francisco. But they can't all be the same person if they have different faces. If one has a Chinese face, another a Japanese face, another an indigenous face, another a Latino face. It's the very same foolishness by which the devil deceives.

Those idols make people foolish. The word of God certainly says that idols make people foolish, and that makes a lot of sense, because it takes being spiritually foolish to believe that twenty, thirty, forty, fifty images are all supposedly Jesus, even though they have different faces. That is madness, it's foolishness, it's idolatry. That is not Jesus.

That bears witness that this word is true: that they exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for the image of a man. So says the word, in Romans 1:23:

"and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man."

And that's exactly it — they exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God, a God who is eternal, who does not decay, who has no end of days, for the image of a man.

Now they take a man, give him long hair and a bit of a beard, and say, 'oh look, that's Jesus!' Then they take another man with different hair and a different beard, and say, 'oh look, that's Jesus!' And then they take another man, and say, 'oh look, that's Jesus!' And this way they end up with thousands of 'Jesuses.' That's why the word says, 'many will come in My name saying, I am the Christ.' It is idolatry. It is a sin unto death.

Those demons that make a person foolish are the ones that make the person keep doing these foolish things — having a great number of images that do not speak.

But the word also speaks about images in the form of birds — there you have the eagle, the dove. And they put light around the dove, oh, 'that's the Holy Spirit.' That is not the Holy Spirit, it is a blasphemous spirit. Through that unclean bird that's there, many demons enter. What enters is a false spirit, a spirit of error.

Because the word commands, 'you shall not make an image of anything that is in heaven.' Jesus Christ is the Holy Spirit — they are the same person, but He is in heaven. We should not have an image of the Holy Spirit. The fact that the Holy Spirit descended as a dove does not mean God is an animal, is a dove. No, God is not a dove.

God is eternal and incorruptible. Don't they realize they are blaspheming when they say the Holy Spirit is a dove? Don't they realize the kind of blasphemy being committed before God? An incorruptible God — now they say He's a dove, an animal. He created birds for us to eat. But now they say God is a bird.

He told Peter, 'kill and eat.' But what He created is now supposedly God. They also have a sheep, an eagle, that are supposedly God. Those are idols of the world, they are idols within the Christian church. Because of things like these, the wrath of God comes.

Those idols, that bird, that dove, those men who are supposedly Jesus — all of them are evidence that the word of God is true, that they exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of man, of birds, of four-footed animals, and of reptiles.

In Isaiah 46:7, it says:

"They bear it on the shoulder, they carry it and set it in its place, and it stands; from its place it shall not move. Though one cries out to it, yet it cannot answer nor save him out of his trouble."

This means that many still carry an idol. They make a sacrifice supposedly carrying the cross, or they carry one of those plaster Jesus figures. But what foolishness! How the devil mocks people. The devil puts people to work and makes them feel good about it, while through that, he is going to destroy their soul.

Deuteronomy 7:5 says:

"But thus you shall deal with them: you shall destroy their altars, and break down their sacred pillars, and cut down their wooden images, and burn their carved images with fire."

The Lord commanded that those images, those carved images, be burned with fire. But now people have them digitally, they have them one way or another, and joyfully share them, not knowing that image represents the destruction of their soul. Not knowing that because of that image, God says they hate Him. Not knowing that because of that image their children are in trouble.

Because of that image that you worship and share so joyfully, you are cursed — your children, your grandchildren, and your great-grandchildren, to the fourth generation, says the Lord. Cursed for having those images.

Images of a candelabra.

Many have that candelabra, to which they give special value. Any object — whether a stone, a leaf, a tree, water, the sun, the moon, the stars — anything that has special spiritual value to you is an idol. There is only one God.

There is only one way that leads us to the narrow gate, and that is Jesus Christ. The pentagram, the star, is on so very many flags. It's on most of the flags in the world — here in the United States, in China, in many countries.

Images of the sun and moon are also an idol. The stars of fame in Hollywood are idols. That represents an idol. It's an occult symbol. It's a symbol that is a portal for the devil. It's a symbol of worship to Satan. It's a symbol used a great deal for witchcraft, to curse the church.

In Amos 5:26, it says:

"You also carried Sikkuth your king and Chiun, your idols, the star of your gods, which you made for yourselves."

'The star of your gods which you made for yourselves.' It isn't just now that the star has been used to represent gods.

Look it up, go to Google and search for the flags of the world, and start counting how many flags have a star. You'll be surprised that most of them do. What does China have in common with the United States? What does China have in common with Iran? Or China with Israel? They have one thing in common: they have stars. They have those idols.

Why? Because Satan is the god of this age. And since this world is under him, even the flags represent him. Even on the flag there is worship of Satan. Satan is in charge. Even on the flag, that star says that Satan is in charge here. This world, this place, is under the dominion of Satan. That's what that flag means. That idol on the flag, the star.

That's what 'the star of your god which you made for yourselves' means, says the word in Amos 5:26. That star is for the gods the world made for itself. It is idolatry.

In Ezekiel 6:4, it says:

"Then your altars shall be desolate, your incense altars shall be broken, and I will cast down your slain men before your idols."

The image of the sun. You'll also notice that some flags have the image of the sun or the moon, because that too is a way of worshiping Satan. Satan is cunning. And the word clearly says, 'your sun images.'

In some countries, like Mexico, the sun is worshiped. But also many Latin cultures in the past, especially in the time of the indigenous peoples, worshiped the sun. And really, cultures all over the world worshiped the sun, the moon, the stars, and the god of agriculture, and things like that.

Christian music.

Christian music, in this present time, is also a form of idolatry. And famous Christian artists are also idols.

Many go to church, especially if the church has a good band, they go for entertainment. They go because they want to go to something like a concert. They want to be in that adrenaline-filled atmosphere where there's music. And if they bring in a famous artist, the church fills up.

They even pay up to 100 dollars to get in. They supposedly go to worship God, but when it's time to give a voluntary offering, they say, 'no, I can't.' But if they bring in a famous artist and they have those 50 or 100 dollars charged for admission, then they do give it.

Are they worshiping God or are they worshiping the artist? They're worshiping the artist. They're worshiping the music. They're worshiping themselves, just as those of the world do. The world pays the same amount to admire a famous artist. Why? Because they like the music.

It's something that pleases the flesh. So many people supposedly worship God through music, but in reality, through the music, they worship the artist. They worship the music itself, the music they like. And they worship themselves.

Entertainment.

Another idol is entertainment. Because many people, by watching soap operas, or playing Nintendo, playing video games — that's why they can't serve God, because their time goes into that. Their time goes into those activities. That is their idol: entertainment.

Culture.

Another idol of the world is culture. National pride is a form of idolatry. If you're understanding a little that Satan is the god of this age, and that all our nations, even in their flags, are worshiping Satan.

I'm not even going to mention the fornication, the adulteries, the robberies, the rapes, the lies, the wooden idols and the various digital idols that make up the whole antichrist system. How abominable all our nations have become — from the smallest to the greatest. They are abominable before God at this moment.

We practically now live in Sodom and Gomorrah. Look at the homosexuality, the abortions, the fact that they want to teach children in schools that there are more genders, that there are a great many genders.

The word says that God 'made us male and female.' But now, supposedly there are about four more genders, I don't even know how many more. And many of our nations accept all these things. They are abominable before God.

What do we have to be 'proud' of, if the nations are abominable before God? So culture, national pride, is a form of idolatry. Because if the nations are abominable before God, if they are doing everything God hates, then practically all of them represent Sodom and Gomorrah at this moment.

Family members committing sexual immorality with their own family. All these things are seen throughout our families. And if these things are happening, and we are proud of our nations, we are saying that we worship the devil. Because our nations represent the devil at this moment, all of them. They are all full of evil, full of iniquity.

I don't know what country you're from. But if anyone believes their country is holy, that their country really is different — if I'm wrong, because your country really is different, because in your country people don't fornicate, don't commit adultery, don't steal, don't kill, don't rape, don't have idols — if the flag of your country and its whole system is not antichrist, let me know. Tell me, 'Pastor, you were wrong about my country, because my country really is holy. In my country, we all worship God. In my country we are not idolaters. In my country we do serve Christ the way He commands.' Well, then maybe I was wrong about your country. But I don't believe I am wrong about any country at this time. This world is under the wicked one.

In Ezekiel 23:30, it says:

"I will do these things to you because you have gone as a harlot after the Gentiles, because you have become defiled by their idols."

The nations have their idols, other idols. Almost every nation has days, dates that it celebrates. The day of this, the day of that, the day of the virgin, the day of the dark-skinned virgin, the day of the light-skinned virgin, the tall virgin or the little virgin, because they have something like 800 virgins.

And in this way they have festivals and various celebrations held in honor of the saint of this or that — saints that sometimes you've never even heard of, because some countries have such obscure saints that it's the first time you'll ever hear those names.

But they have a day when they worship them. Nations have a primary idol that represents that nation. That idol is the demon in authority that is in charge of that country, that has that country enslaved. And that's why the word says, they were defiled by the idols of the nations they visited.

In Psalm 135:15, it says:

"The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men's hands."

And this way, many of you who are reading me are Christians, but you have your idols of silver and gold on your hands, or you have them here on your neck, or you have them in a ring, in an earring. That cross is an idol; that image supposedly of Jesus is an idol; with a virgin, it's an idol; with the dove, it's an idol; with the fish, supposedly representing the Lord, that too is an idol. The Lord is not a fish — He is God, eternal, incorruptible.

That ring, that chain, that medal, that earring with religious images — all those religious images are idols. And this word is fulfilled in those of you who have that image: 'that the idols of the nations are silver, gold, and bronze, made by a craftsman.' That thing you have, that supposedly is God, that represents God — a craftsman made it. That is what this word in Psalm 135 represents.

You, who are wearing that, are living out this word. At this very moment the word is being fulfilled in you. But I'm not saying this so plainly because I'm judging you — what I want is to get your attention, so that you wake up and know that it's an idol. So be sensible: take it off and flush it down the toilet, or take a hammer and smash it, even if it's made of gold, because that idol means death for you.

Because of that idol, the Lord says you are His enemy. And because of that idol, your children, your grandchildren, and you, are cursed.

Do you love your children? Repent of those idols. Do you love the Lord and don't want to die? Repent of those idols. That idol is a cause of death for you.

I already mentioned the idol of sports, that sports are an idol. I mentioned the cross, another idol. I mentioned the family — that if the family takes first place before God, it's an idol. If we love our children, our wife, our husband more than God, or even if we do not love God more than we love ourselves, it is idolatry.

For many, their idol is themselves. For example, for satanists who practice satanism, their number one idol is themselves — they worship themselves. But there are also many who, out of ignorance, also have themselves as their idol. Because in their life, their ego, what I want, what I think, and doing their own will, is more important than God. Doing their own will instead of God's will is their idolatry. If we put our own will before the will of God, we are idolaters of ourselves.

We should obviously love ourselves, because we're not going to hate ourselves. Of course we have to love our children, we have to love our wife, but we love God above all things, even more than our wife. We love our children, but we love God more, even more than our children. We do love ourselves, but we love God more than we love ourselves.

Medicine.

Medicine is an idol. Oh, no! This is an idol that stings, and that has many people in bondage. Few in the church, when they have a headache, go to God — instead they go to the doctor. When they have some problem, they don't think of God, they think of the doctor. Of course, that's what the world has taught, because this world is under Satan, and it's part of the beast system to make people look for everything except God — to put God in last place.

Medicine is an idol — it's no secret that, through drugs like fentanyl, thousands upon thousands are dying. Fentanyl is in many drugs; many medications that doctors prescribe contain fentanyl. Yes, do your own research. I don't know exactly how many, because I haven't dug deeper into it. But fentanyl was made by the very same companies that make all pharmaceutical drugs — it's just that now it has reached the street. But they put fentanyl into some of the drugs given to people.

With a considerably large dose, people die. With a medium dose they don't die, but they end up like zombies. With a small dose, which is what's in the drugs they're prescribed, they also become zombie-like, just more slowly. It's because of medicine that many people are like zombies.

That serpent that appears on the ambulance logo and on the logo of medicine is Satan. That serpent entangles itself through medicine, through drugs. It's no secret to most of us that we have some family member whose marriage was suddenly destroyed, or who ended up on the street, or in terrible shape because of alcohol. Even alcohol is a stumbling block, it's an idol. Drugs are evil.

False doctrine.

Another idol for many is false doctrine — as I mentioned, living under the law, for example. There are many who believe that to be saved they have to keep the law of Moses. They think, 'because we keep the Sabbath we are saved,' or 'because of this and that.' No — if you live under the law, you are under a curse. We are saved by grace through hearing the word of life, keeping the Lord's word, separating ourselves from the world. Salvation comes through Jesus Christ. We receive grace through the Lord.

The word says in Acts 21:25:

"But concerning the Gentiles who believe, we have written and decided that they should observe no such thing, except that they should keep themselves from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality."

Here we read the commands given to us, the Gentiles who believed, who have believed, by the first apostles, guided by God, which are: that we abstain from things sacrificed to idols, from blood, from eating strangled things, and from sexual immorality. These are like the commandments of the law that the Lord says, 'this is what they must keep.'

The last point I want to be clear to everyone — and I want it to be very clear that I am not the one judging you. We all have a judge, and that is the Lord. I want it to be clear to you what the consequence of idolatry is, because I love your souls. I don't want your souls to be lost.

The Lord does not want any soul to be lost. It is the Lord's desire that everyone hear the truth and repent. And that is what I also want for you. That's why I want you to clearly hear the consequence.

The word says that the Lord will judge idols. Even the idolatrous nations that do not repent, the Lord will judge and destroy, and there will be gnashing of teeth in the lake of fire. And I want this to be clear to you, because the devil makes you believe that having those images, having those idols, doesn't matter, because the devil is a liar and the father of lies.

It does matter — even though it seems like nothing is happening now physically, in the spirit it is indeed happening. In the spirit, if they don't repent, they are dead. In the spirit, if they don't repent, they are enemies of God. In the spirit, if they don't repent, the Lord says that you hate Him because of the idols. Those who hate Him, He is going to destroy.

The word says in Jeremiah 1:16:

"I will utter My judgments against them concerning all their wickedness, because they have forsaken Me, burned incense to other gods, and worshiped the works of their own hands."

I will pronounce My judgments against them for all their wickedness. Once again, I will pronounce judgments — it is the Lord who is judging, not me. Listen, it is the Lord.

And why? Because of the wickedness. We read in Exodus how He calls those who have idols wicked — those who hate Him. And He will visit the iniquity of the parents, He says in Exodus. Here He calls it wickedness again: 'because they have forsaken Me, offered sacrifices to other gods, and worshiped the work of their hands.'

Here in Jeremiah 1:16 the Lord says, 'I will pronounce judgments.' He says it, not me. I am reading the word, once again, because people say, 'pastor, you just want to judge people.' I am not judging you. We all have a judge, and that is the word of God. By the word we will be judged.

I am presenting the word to you in love, because I want you to repent. And the word says, 'because they forsook Me, offered sacrifices to other gods, and worshiped the work of their hands.' Yes, they worship that little medal that a man made.

The image of a bird that a person drew on a computer, and the sheep, the dove, the lion. Many have the lion. The lion is another big idol. That lion represents the devil, who walks about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. And whoever receives that lion is receiving the devil.

Because of those idols, the wrath of God is upon the world. Because of those idols, the Lord is going to judge. Because of those idols, the word says in Jeremiah, the Lord will pronounce judgment.

In Isaiah 10:11, it says:

"As I have done to Samaria and her idols, shall I not do also to Jerusalem and her idols?"

Here the Lord is clearly saying, 'I make no distinction for Jerusalem, because if I did it to Samaria, will I not also do it to Jerusalem and her idols?' In short, I will judge every nation that has idols.

That's what the Lord means in this word. That it makes no difference to Him whether it's Jerusalem or whatever nation it is — every nation that has an idol, He will judge, because He is God. There is only one God, and He does not share His glory. It is the lying devil who makes people believe that nothing happens because of idols.

In Jonah 2:8, it says:

"Those who regard worthless idols forsake their own mercy."

Here the word is giving us understanding. Listen to what it says: 'those who trust in their idols forsake their own mercy.' Because it is by mercy, by grace, that we are saved through God's mercy. But if we have an idol, we lose our salvation. So we are forsaking our own mercy. That is, by having an idol, the soul is lost. Those who have an idol are forsaking their mercy — they are forsaking that great opportunity to be saved.

In Revelation 9:20, it says:

"But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk."

Here the Lord is saying that in these days — because these are the very days we're living in — there are going to be plagues and many will die, like the coronavirus, and there are going to be even more plagues. But those who did not die from these plagues still did not repent, says the word. In short, many are going to die because of idolatry.

And a little further back, it tells us how many — that it will be a third of mankind. We are 8 billion, and a third of that is more than 2 billion people. More than 2 billion are going to die because of idolatry.

But it says, 'and still, those who did not die did not repent.' What a shame! It grieves me, it truly grieves me, that so many people are already dying and many more are going to die, and still they did not repent of their idols.

I want you not to be one of those, one of those 2 billion who are going to die. I want you, who are reading this, to repent, so that you are not counted among those, among the many who will not repent.

In 1 Corinthians 6:9, it says:

"Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites."

The word clearly says, do not be deceived. Do not be deceived. Wake up.

Let's be humble — the truth is we were all deceived. We were all idolaters. We have all done abominable things before God. But all of us, you and I, and everyone reading this, as long as we're breathing and alive, have the opportunity to repent.

So we must not let ourselves be deceived, because the word clearly tells us — it is clear, the Lord could not speak more plainly than that. It says: 'do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived — neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites... will inherit the kingdom of God.'

Will idolaters inherit the kingdom of God? No. And of course, not only idolaters — it mentions many more. In this word we hear the Lord speaking so clearly that these will not enter the kingdom of God, and it's because of these things. But some say, 'no, I am going to the kingdom of God — I'm a homosexual, but I'm going to the kingdom of God,' or 'I'm an adulterer, but I'm going to the kingdom of God.' Whoever is an idolater, whoever practices homosexuality, and says they will enter the kingdom of God, is lying. But God is not a liar, and He clearly says they will not enter the kingdom of God. Therefore, they will not enter the kingdom of God if they do not repent.

And to conclude this teaching, let's read what it says in 1 Thessalonians 1:9:

"For they themselves declare concerning us what manner of entry we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God."

And that is what I want for you — for each one of you listening to me, that you turn from your idols to the true God, so that you may pass from darkness into light.

Now I invite all of you reading this, please stand, and let's pray. God is merciful, and He has given me power and authority over the powers of darkness.

Prayer.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we thank You, we bring love and mercy before You. We thank You for the word that has allowed us to comprehend and understand. We thank You, Lord, for exposing idolatry. We give You all the glory and the honor. And we ask for mercy for us and for our loved ones, for our children, for our spouses, for every brother and sister, for every member of our family.

May our eyes be opened, Lord. Give us understanding of any other hidden idol. Give us conviction of sin, Lord. Give conviction of sin to all our loved ones, so that they repent of evil and do not perish.

And in Your name, Lord Jesus, we come against the demons that deceive the world through idols.

We bind every spirit of idolatry, in the name of Jesus. Every spirit that binds the soul, we bind it, in the name of Jesus Christ. Every spirit of falsehood, we bind it, in the name of Jesus. All the demons that operate through the different religious images we mentioned, we bind them, in the name of Jesus.

Let there be a firestorm over the enemy's entire army, in the name of Jesus Christ. Let fire come down and destroy the whole army of darkness that binds souls through idols, in the name of Jesus.

I cover every idol that every member of our family has worshiped with the blood of Jesus Christ. May the demons that operate through those idols be set ablaze and burn, in the name of Jesus.

Every curse that we ourselves brought upon our life, or upon our children and descendants, or that our parents and ancestors brought upon us through idolatry — Lord, today we ask forgiveness for ourselves and for our whole family. Forgive us, Lord, for having had religious images, for having given special value to certain objects, for having been disobedient and rebellious and having images of things in heaven, under the earth, under the waters.

We repent, Lord, and we renounce those idols. We want nothing to do with them. There is only one true God, and He is eternal, He is incorruptible, and He does not want to be represented with corruptible images or with statues.

Today we renounce idolatry, we renounce those images, and we renounce every agreement that has unknowingly been made with darkness, and we break it, in the name of Jesus. May those lying, deceiving demons who seek the souls of our loved ones be set ablaze and burn, in the name of Jesus.

I strike every darkness with light. Let there be a firestorm over the enemy's entire army, in the name of Jesus. Let all the enemy's waters turn to blood, in the name of Jesus Christ. Let there be terror and confusion over all the powers of darkness, in the name of Jesus.

I strike every darkness with light. May the enemy's whole army be burned with fire, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Worship of images, come out, in the name of Jesus. Chains of bondage through images and dates, out, I rebuke you, in the name of Jesus.

Satan, I rebuke you in the name of Jesus Christ. Jezebel, come out, in the name of Jesus. Spirit of Babylon, out, in the name of Jesus. False worship, come out, in the name of Jesus Christ. Apostasy, out, in the name of Jesus. Rebellion, come out, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Let there be a storm of hail and fire over the enemy's entire army, in the name of Jesus.

I strike every darkness with light. May all darkness burn in flames, in the name of Jesus Christ. May the flesh of every demon waste away while they stand, in the name of Jesus. May the tongue of each one waste away in its mouth, in the name of Jesus Christ.

I strike every darkness with light. Let fire come down and consume the whole army of darkness, in the name of Jesus. I strike every darkness with light. May the whole army of darkness, the whole army of idolatry, the whole army of religious deception, be set ablaze and burn, in the name of Jesus Christ.

I cover each one of our loved ones with the blood of Jesus Christ. Let fire come down and consume all darkness, in the name of Jesus. I cover every person listening to me and each one of their loved ones with the blood of Jesus Christ. And I bless each one of you in the name of Jesus.
