Last Sunday of every month
Prayer for Autistic People and Their Families
On the last Sunday of every month we pray with and for autistic people and their families. Every person is made in the image of God and deeply loved, and autism is part of who many of those people are — not something to be fixed or prayed away.
We pray for what families themselves ask for: belonging and friendship, understanding at school, work and church, access to good support, rest for caregivers, and joy at home.
Who this meeting is for
- Autistic teens and adults who want to pray and be prayed for
- Parents, grandparents, siblings and caregivers
- Families waiting for an evaluation, services or support
- Teachers, therapists and church members who want to walk alongside families
A meeting designed to be comfortable
Your screen, your settings
Keep your camera off and set the volume as you like. Headphones and stimming are welcome.
Communicate your way
Speak, type in the chat, or simply listen. Every way of taking part is welcome.
Come and go freely
Join late, step away, or leave early without explaining. It is fine.
How we pray
Autism is not an illness, a sin, or a spiritual problem, and we do not pray for anyone to be delivered from it. We pray for the whole person and for the family: for peace, strength, understanding and the support each one needs.
Prayer is offered alongside the medical, educational and therapeutic support families choose. It never replaces it.

Questions
- Can autistic children and teens join with their family?
- Yes, warmly. They can join from a family member’s screen, wear headphones, move around, or take a break whenever they need.
- How does this meeting approach autism?
- As part of who a person is, not as something to be fixed. We pray for each person’s wellbeing, friendships and future, and for their family’s strength and joy.
- Is this meeting also for autistic adults?
- Yes. It is for autistic people as much as for their families, and everyone can join in whatever way is comfortable.
- Can I ask for prayer for something specific?
- Yes. Type it in the chat during the meeting, or send a confidential prayer request at any time.
Good to know
- Every meeting is free and everyone is welcome. Nobody will single you out, ask you to speak, or ask you for money.
- Prayer is spiritual support. It is not medical, mental-health, addiction, legal or financial advice, and it never replaces the professionals who care for you.
