Idolatry: A religious practice in which worship is given to an idol. 2. Excessive love and admiration felt for a person or a thing.

Deuteronomy 27:15 Cursed is the man who makes a carved or molten image, an abomination to the LORD, the work of the hands of a craftsman, and sets it up in secret. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.

Isaiah 44:9 Those who fashion carved images are all of them futile, and their treasured things are of no profit; they are their own witnesses, for they neither see nor know, that they may be ashamed.

Psalm 135:15 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
