Second Sunday of every month
Prayer for Addiction Recovery and Families Affected by Violence
On the second Sunday of every month we pray for people fighting addiction and for families living with the effects of addiction and violence — for strength one day at a time, for safety, and for hope.
Everyone is welcome, whether they come for themselves or to pray for someone they love. No one is judged here.
Who this meeting is for
- People working toward recovery from alcohol, drugs, gambling or other addictions
- Family members and friends who love someone with an addiction
- Families who have lost someone to violence or live with its consequences
- Anyone who needs prayer for peace, safety and a new beginning
What the evening is like
A word of hope
A short Scripture reading about God’s mercy and strength for each day.
Prayer for freedom and safety
Pastors pray for people in recovery and for families affected by violence.
No one is singled out
You can listen quietly, write a first name in the chat, or ask for private prayer.
Prayer alongside help
Prayer does not replace treatment, recovery programs or support groups, and we will never ask anyone to stop treatment. We are glad to pray alongside the help people receive.

Questions
- Do participants have to share their story?
- No. Many people simply listen. Anyone who wants personal prayer can write in the chat or book a private session.
- I am praying for a family member. Is this meeting for me?
- Yes. Families and friends carry a heavy load too, and this meeting prays for them as well.
- Is this a recovery program?
- No. It is a prayer meeting. We encourage everyone to keep working with treatment programs, sponsors, counselors and doctors.
- Is what I share confidential?
- What is shared in prayer stays with the prayer team. You can use only a first name, or none at all.
Good to know
- Every meeting is free and everyone is welcome. Nobody will single you out, ask you to speak, or ask you for money.
- Prayer is spiritual support. It is not medical, mental-health, addiction, legal or financial advice, and it never replaces the professionals who care for you.
